This is the crossover I never knew I wanted, Terry makes riding a bike feel like bombing a hill. Stoked he mentioned Cardiel as well, more skateboarders should ride a bike.
Ian, you are straight up killing it my dude. To consistently release videos featuring people outside the skate industry or non skateboarders without ever feeling cringy or forced is an absolute miracle. Brilliant work man.
having always had a toe dipped into each world, i love to see this. i haven’t met too many folks that ride track bikes that don’t have at least some history or familiarity with skateboarding. peas in the same pod.
So glad to see Terry in here. Been following him for years and his creativity is endless. Some of this best work are his not-Hotline related videos and worth the watch for anyone who puts any kind of videos together. Building all these unbelievable archives and throwing them out for everyone to just enjoy. Love his energy!
I watch a Lot of TerryB's videos and really appreciated seeing some more insight into the process of creation as well as the parallels to skateboarding (in my youth I was constantly enthralled in skateboarding and many aspects of the culture). Thank you for taking the time to jenkem for putting this together! Great video! 🤘💜
I've been skating since '82 and riding since '85. Terry's vids bring back my mid-90s NYC riding and skating, with all the thrills, chills and near death moments. Exhilarating. After I dislocated my foot sliding a handrail in my 30s, my skating has been a lot more chill, carvy and cruisy. But the bike is where I get my yayas (even though I keep the risk a lot lower, since I have a family). Holy shit I love Terry's vids. The Safa rides were my first and they've never been outdone -- "Are you ready to die, Terry?"
Wow. What a rad person to have on Jenkem. Grew up skating and riding bmx. Got into track bikes and fixed gear stuff like 15 years ago when it was getting popularized in the punk and hardcore scene. Dont skate so much anymore. But I ride my bikes daily. So, TerryB's videos in heavy rotation for me. Respect to jenkem for showing this side of the culture.
I used to skate until I fucked my knee up so bad that it wasn't physically possible anymore. I fell into depression for a very long time after that happened. fixed gear bikes felt like getting back a piece of what I lost and Terry's videos played a big role in getting there.
Great video! Terry is the best, his work is truly one of a kind. Cardiel is my biggest inspiration (bmx rider here) always stoked to see any clip of him skating or even just pedalling.
as a skateboarder/road cyclist I tend to lean towards this being a bad "look" for cyclists, but I respect the hell out of it. I can appreciate the drive/passion these guys have and the filming/editing is amazing
If you live in a city, riding a bike should be part of your life, unless you want to rely on someone else/some system to get you around day to day. Never understood hate from the skate culture to bike culture for that reason, and i'm happy to see bikes getting the shine from jenkem
Such an amazing interview!! Always love watching his videos and it’s good to get a behind the scenes look at who he is. Keep letting the haters hate Terry!
As an older skateboarder, crossing over to gravel bikes has been the best. Get the same adrenaline rush picking lines on single track just like I got bombing hills.
This is so sick , I just got back into riding a fix gear and I forgot how fun it was, it’s another feeling from skating but just as fun. I could do either any day of the week.
Just out of curiosity, want to touch on the draw of a fixy to me? The only people i know who ride fixies are bike couriers in montreal, and i've always wondered why, for someone who rides a bike for living, it trumps a regular road bike
@@GettingHyphy I don’t dislike road bikes or mountain bikes one bit , I live in LA county so it’s a lil flatter and city ish so I just enjoy knowing that my bike goes as far as I can push it , feeling one with the bike , it’s a different feeling , same one you have when you hop on a board , kinda hard to explain , I just get more joy out of it i guess.
@@nestorzen i get what you're saying, it's you pushing forward, not mechanical advantage helping you out. I mean i'm still a fan of the mechanical advantage so i probably don't fully understand, but i also currently live in a small mountain town with lots of hills and distance between destinations
@@GettingHyphy they are as bare bones as a bike can get (especially if you ride brakeless), which means less maintenance overall and fewer parts to potentially break/replace. if you're pushing your bike as hard as some of those couriers are (through bad weather, quick/sloppy lock up jobs that ding your bike, etc.) that's a huge plus. they're also just really fun
@@GettingHyphy exactly , I do enjoy road bikes there’s a time and place for everything but personally riding fixed is so much more fun , and when you ride brake less it gets even more fun/dangerous. It’s def worth the try
I love riding bikes just cruising around but damn those hotline videos theve got some serious speed behind them, feels so much like videos of people bombing hills
0:42 Lol! My brother was drawn by the same artist when we went to NYC in 2009 😅 The drawing was 5 dollars and after it was drawn the artist told him he also had to pay for a frame which was another 10 or 15 dollars hahaha! Anyway great video Jenkem!
Thanks for getting me back on my board Jenkem ❤
Really enjoyed this! Great Job!
hell yeah terry!
so sick to see you on Jenkem!
Love your videos
You da man Terry got me into riding fixed and I love it.
Respect to Jenkem for this!
Terry is Amazing.
This is the crossover I never knew I wanted, Terry makes riding a bike feel like bombing a hill.
Stoked he mentioned Cardiel as well, more skateboarders should ride a bike.
Mash SF was made by legendary skateboard photographer Gabe Morford. Hence the "skateboard esque" feel to it.
Factoid!! Thanks for that🙏
Ian, you are straight up killing it my dude. To consistently release videos featuring people outside the skate industry or non skateboarders without ever feeling cringy or forced is an absolute miracle. Brilliant work man.
Terry is the goat. His channel was the perfect escape through the worst of the lockdown. I'll always appreciate it.
having always had a toe dipped into each world, i love to see this. i haven’t met too many folks that ride track bikes that don’t have at least some history or familiarity with skateboarding. peas in the same pod.

Terry's hotlines get me up in the morning

Thanks for this :-) As a skateboarder that loves the track bicycle, this is so awesome!

Whaaaaaat, so sick seeing terry on here!!!!!
I used to skate until I fucked my knee up so bad that it wasn't physically possible anymore. I fell into depression for a very long time after that happened. fixed gear bikes felt like getting back a piece of what I lost and Terry's videos played a big role in getting there.
sooo good.. I love biking in Montreal and never heard of this guy before... amazing..thx Jenkem as usual
Great video! Terry is the best, his work is truly one of a kind. Cardiel is my biggest inspiration (bmx rider here) always stoked to see any clip of him skating or even just pedalling.
this one was so good everyone killed it !!! yeah jenkem and Terry
I learned a lot of riding bike skills through terry videos
Terry is the GOAT
Top notch guys I really enjoyed this 👌 👍 ❤
as a skateboarder/road cyclist I tend to lean towards this being a bad "look" for cyclists, but I respect the hell out of it. I can appreciate the drive/passion these guys have and the filming/editing is amazing
Hell yes!
Wearing my Terry B hotline shirt now
Been watchin this dude for a while, so raw.
Hell yeah! That looks sick af! I do this on my BMX through traffic. It's so freeing.
Greg can do no wrong. Great segment
Love the link - Long time fan of both of you! Keep it up! 🙌🏻
I understand the weird & wonderful world of fixed gear a little bit more as a result of watching this interview. Cheers!
This film is pretty good. You portrayed a nice essence of a moment
Legend! First discovered he skated through his Massan interview 🔥

Sick video! Always wanted to hear terry talk about his videos, I didn't even know he skates! Respect for Jenkem and Terry 4 sure!
Riding bikes and skateboarding is the fountain of youth. Peter Pan type shit!! Stoked on this terry and jenkem!! WAY SICK!!
Terry is somehow at the same time an extremely calming presence and an endless fountainhead of stoke
Such an amazing interview!! Always love watching his videos and it’s good to get a behind the scenes look at who he is. Keep letting the haters hate Terry!
Straight up Terry’s hotline bombing videos inspires me to go for a ride even when I don’t feel like it! I’ve lost 30+Kgs in last year 🎉
Great video ❤
Bike life for life, just another great way to roll 💪🙏
jenkem rules!
Terry is a great dude! 👍🚲💨

As an older skateboarder, crossing over to gravel bikes has been the best. Get the same adrenaline rush picking lines on single track just like I got bombing hills.
Interesting look at Terry in front of the camera rather than behind
Man, I love the look of Weiss frames! I really want to ride one!!
This was rad
Terry = 🐐
hopefully this brings back the spark to the scene, been dead for awhile
Hell yeah shout out Mash & Macaframa!!
El mejor de los mejores 🎉
what a time to be alive
Amazing cyclist also, good Ol`Terry.
Congrats from Chile.
Great stuff. Terry seems like a rad dude. I know of him through some MTB collab videos.
i also skate and bike. cool to see some other people doing the same
Riding a skate and a track bike are best feelings
fuck yeah I've loved Terry for a long time, didn't know he had roots of skateboarding. Love this, thanks guys!
love

Werent some of the Mash videos done by Gabe Morford?
I love riding bikes just cruising around but damn those hotline videos theve got some serious speed behind them, feels so much like videos of people bombing hills
Love Terry and every video he does ESPECIALLY the Hotlines lol
Terry B was the reason why I started creating bike videos on YT.
