As a bullion dealer in this crazy market just remember "silver is silver" when it comes to selling it back. I sell overstock to refineries, their paying me .75 to $1.00 back of spot right now. Paying $1.00 back of spot like you said in the video is a death wish for the LCS unless they just needed the inventory. With that said I like vintage silver also but when it comes to selling it back silver is silver. Thanks for the video Sir.. Liked and Subscribed 👍👍👍 Life is good......God Bless

G'day LBS, interesting concept, I like them all so I couldn't trade any of them, way too hard to find these silver pieces here in Aus, I guess I'm a collector. Cheers Peter J 😂👋🙏🔥👍
G'day to you too Peter. I'm a collector in a stackers disguise. 😆 I'm just going to save up the cash. I'm losing too much weight lately. So good to see you! 👊🏼
I'd keep the generics and use cash on the top shelf stuff. But first I would learn more about vintage bars. Except for OPM. I would be all over that deal. Lateral moves can be desired for a few reasons, I'm sure. My reason for a lateral move would be to change some oversized bulky Ag for easier to stack or guardhouse/tube goal takes up less space. Kilo coins, dollar bill "bars", SAE proofs and boxes, etc) Excellent topic to make folks think.
I know you’re pain brother. This is a constant battle that goes on in my head. But I think if you trade something that is mass produce and is commonly made year after year for something that is vintage that is no longer made. It might be a good trade.
I have made a trade at my LCS for a Kilo for Kilo, but I through in an extra half oz round of silver in order to make the trade, and I have no regrets. I traded a modern Pioneer Kilo from Apmex for a vintage Silver Town Kilo. Cheers 🍾 🍻 LBS.
i have, if i get lucky and another stacker doesn't randomly see that vintage bar mixed in with the generic before i see it (have to get lucky to be at the LCS at right time too so its a gamble)
Would never trade vintage for generic oz 4 oz. But if I could trade generic + $5 fiat for rare vintage I would. But with that said I built up a very healthy generic stack when I started (2001) for GSR swaps. Very healthy😂 Now the vintage is 5 times the generic 🤯 Keep em coming LBS u 🤘✌
@@LibertyBleeds Steve Austin told me they made over 40,000 different ones in the 70's and 80's....I have looked on eBay for years at every bar that shows up...and every day I see ones I have never seen before....crazy how many were made.
Nah, those A-mark pudgy bars only have batch numbers ;) One of the largest holes in my stack is the lack of generic bullion for just this type of trade. But gun to my head: Yes, I would do a trade like that. But the pieces would have to be exceptional. I mean really, really good.
I think I saw a herd of Buffaloes out there at the LCS the other day 😂 I just feel like transforming them. Although I should hold on to them and save up the cash. Probably be $40 before I get it, lol
I am a stacker 90% and collector 10%. That being said, I would trade a few of this for a few of that just to have a variety to look at. When it comes down to it for me an ounce of silver is an ounce of silver. I only own one bar of silver, and my interest in bars has piqued recently, probably due to the fact I only have one. The bar I do have is an amazing retail sealed Royal Mint bar with high relief. It's a real stunner. I really like those little "loaf" bars you have there. I am going to look to procure one or three of those soon.
I would maybe sell some buffalo's and wait for a pullback and then pickup some vintage when spot dips, but then again you never know when its going to be a good dip 👊👍#Sickness 🤣
Yes because the $5 is cheap now. There are stories about silver is silver, and when it hits $50 it will all be the same price. But look at gold, when it hit $2700 it did not all become the same.
I don't know if I would convert generic to vintage. I think you want to have both on hand in case you ever do need to liquidate, you won't want to part with the vintage. Generic for emergencies. Just my opinion...
I don't think I would. I would trade eating out a couple times a month for the vintage. I would trade something else and keep my generics. In an emergency, I wouldn't feel bad if I has to cash out of my generic silver. I would HATE to be forced to part with my collectable silver.
To simplify things I'm only asking if it's better to buy the cheaper generic silver or the collectible vintage silver. It's a little more expensive for the latter. Nothing to worry about Just stacker stuff. Do you have coins and bars?
@LibertyBleeds We do have ,we do purchase divine silver coins ,bars every year on our festivals, but not with the purpose of reselling, infact we would never resell them but to pass on to our next generation .we do purchase more gold and that too with this purpose only, but as an asset too that can be used any time to resell when in need of instant funds,as gold is the highest yielding matter/material
Vintage is an emotional purchase. You know if silver goes to $100 it will all sell for about the same price. That being said, I get emotional sometimes myself.
No, not necessarily. The vintage stuff will also go up over that price. You people are not calculating in the fact that some people have money to spend, and they will spend it on the stuff they like or collect no matter what the price is!
