I think an important aspect of any game that focuses on the player using range weapons against enemies with only melee attacks, the melee combat needs to have some dynamic mechanics. Getting instantly vored might be realistic but it’s definitely boring after the first time, unless you’re into that sort of thing

I started the game up yesterday to be greeted by not even ten minutes in “OHHHH MAAAAA GAWWWWWDDDD!” As a guy got eaten by a megalodon xD I fucken love this game the gameplay is good! I’ve been jumpscared by a fish!!! By a BLOODY FISH! I haven’t gotten scared once in outlast what the hell!!! 😅 But my favorite part in the little I’ve played so far was when I found the dunkleostues room gave me a little cutscene of it swimming outside a pane of glass Now this armored fish is my favorite prehistoric creature ever!!! Dimetrodon is my favorite “dinosaur” but I saw dunkleostues and I started gelling the hell out cause it’s my favorite prehistoric creature so I walked up to the pane of glass with my flashlight on to see if I could see and IT FUCKEN BURST THROUGH THE GLASS AND ATE ME!!!! Something that seemingly only triggers if you decide to get close to take a look at the big fish and that’s fucken amazing!!! I love this game already! There’s so many cliche b movie story plots but that’s also part of the charm! Gameplay is solid takes me back to old 360 stealth shooter kind of~~~ It’s really great~
I hope this dev really takes this video as critical feedback and continues creating these passion projects. Only with experience can he get better, best of luck dev. a little late to this video Jarek, but great as always bro ! PS: congrats on finally passing 227k subs ! much love brotha
this game would be great if not for the giant markers for stuff like a big question mark where you need to pick something up.. a game like this need to feel immersive imo.. and having to really examine your surroundings not to miss anything means you are more attentive and therefor the scares get much more real
I once thought of a shooter similiar to Republic Commando/R6 Vegas 2 that has you be deployed into a Jurassic Park-style resort after the dinos got loose, with the goal to restore order and rescue survivors. Maybe one day that fantasy will become a reality. Godot's been sitting around on my PC for ages.
The guy needs a procedural Bob on the view model, I could care less about camera Bob in fact I think it's better to turn it off or just not bother with it all together.. But with a view model Bob you can achieve the exact same thing that you're trying to but better in every way.. and without any sort of view model sway it just looks like the arms are taped to the camera.. you can do this all with code by the way, you don't need to mocap anything. Or import some sort of custom animation.. and it can apply to everything and it will look good and it will make everything so much better.

Why. There are some games he showed in the series there were actually good. It's a statement of the games global perception and challenges that. The title is totally fine for people who have actual reading comprehension. Others should go to school first and learn how sentences function.
