Monster trucks are a continuation of good ole boys with farm trucks putting bigger engines and taller tires until they got to these beasts. They used to do out and back 1 lap races, car crunches and it grew into the ridiculous freestyle stuff they do to this day. When I saw these as a kid in the late 80's it was magical At one point, they also brought around a tractor trailer sized robot dinosaur that would "eat" cars lol. .
They do competitions first. At the end they all get a freestyle run. They get crazy, crash, flip and fly. If they can flip themselves back over the crowd goes nuts. So that’s the goal. Sometimes the finale is an old school demolition derby
I grew up watching Bigfoot jump airplanes and busses. Over the years they got bigger and crazier. These trucks went from being built using parts from tractors to now having multimillion dollar shops to build most of the parts. It's crazy to think people spend a million dollars to build a truck for one show (sometimes more, sometimes less). It is very impressive seeing them in person. Definitely something to do for the bucket list!
It is very loud in the arena, and the fuel smell is thick. Grave Digger is one of the favorites. Son of a Grave Digger is another. There are many. This appears to be a small show. The flips are cool, and we’ve seen double flips! The bodies are thin, and break away when really wrecked. Good reaction Recky.
My entire childhood I was convinced I would grow up to drive the Grave Digger lol. I thought it was the coolest thing ever Truly so so much fun to watch them! The noise, the smell, the cheers! Amazing
I've been to a few of these. Recky, you would LOVE going and experiencing this. Youd have to wear hearing protection, absolutely. The noise is out of this world loud. I ❤️ your reaction to this, one of the best reactions. I wish I could take you both to one. Yes, new rabbit hole! ❤❤❤
We used to go to demolition derbies. I often said I would love to participate! 😂. But, I can’t imagine what these guys’ spines are like after they’re done bouncing 30 feet in the air! 🫣
Recky, you should consider reacting to things like this live. You have so many questions and your audience would be able to give you the answers so you can understand what you are seeing. Plus interacting with your audience would bring more people to your channel.
I LOVE these types of reactions. I have ALL sorts of motorsports reactions I could have suggested, and will now. Yes, all the trucks have names. The black and green one that jumped the whole damn arena with the black flag off the back is called Grave Digger! Yes, ear plugs are available at the merch stands for $3 LOL, or bring your own. I'm sure there is another video that explains the whole event, cause they do more stuff than just jump.
These things go 50-60 feet in the air, their tires are around 360kg a piece, the engines are multiple thousand horsepower. These are engineering marvels if you ask me.
Most of the truck is roll cage. The panels are easily replaceable truck-shaped siding. They're technically not supposed to wreck, but there's no avoiding damage if you want to impress the crowd.

These monster trucks are about 12000 pounds and have approximately 1500 horsepower
Went to monster jam as a teenager with my dad & yes we wore earplugs nearly the entire event. You can still hear but your also protecting your ears This makes me wanna go again. Just might
There's lots of great motor sports in the US. Rock bouncers Rock crawlers Mud buggies Swamp buggies Arena trucks Swamp boats Jet boats Hill climbers Sprint cars Tractor pulls Mud trucks And probably 20 other sub categories of them.
they have races at the begining of the event, usually side by side on similar ovals. first across the finish line type thing. those are for points. then they have the freestyle at the end where they go all out and they are scored on style and crazyness basically. also for points. pretty sure it's a season long thing. been a long time since i watched a full event, but that's the basics with some stuff potentially missing or wrong.
7:22 so from what I understand the trucks themselves have both front steering and rear steering so when they’re jumping and doing tricks the steering can have issues and result in sideways trucks. However that happening doesn’t really stop these drivers from letting loose during their tricks, hell even if tires are flat these drivers will still try to do jumps or even do donuts
I used to work in a statement that held Monster jam events. It’s much more fun to watch it on the video because when you’re there it’s just loud, stinky and dirty.

Look up tom meents he's known as the professor of the monster jam university
As a kid Monster Jam would come through near us around the same time as my birthday and for many years my Dad would take me to go see them, it was always a good time. This video was rather boring compared to what they actually do at a show, because they do all kinds of tricks like back flips and front flips. You should check out some better videos of them.
If you're going to put that much effort into changing out engines and whatnot, might as well have an excuse to drive them at insane speeds in the daytime, too 😂
And tell just a couple months ago grave digger owned a amusement park sort of thing like an off-road park here in my hometown but him and his wife are getting a divorce so they're having to sell everything. If you look it up it was called Mid-America amusement outdoor park in Jay Oklahoma they have their own RUclips channel
Bigfoot and grave digger are probably the 2 most famous monster trucks😂😂👍👍
Big foot will always be the original. And stepped their game up every year. Just like you though Grave digger is probably my fvorite
Bigfoot was the original but grave digger is the best. 🤘
Maximum destruction also

This is super normal, Americans love this kind of entertainment. My favorite was Gravedigger. It is super loud in the Arena. These events sell out😮

Good reaction Recky.
Grave digger with Dennis driving was always my favorite
You need to see these live to get the full experience. The sounds, the smells, the energy
The 2 days of dirt boogers!!
The Grave Digger is the best to ever do it.
My entire childhood I was convinced I would grow up to drive the Grave Digger lol. I thought it was the coolest thing ever
Truly so so much fun to watch them! The noise, the smell, the cheers! Amazing
One thing you need to check out is "NHRA - Fire Breathing Monsters". . . .
Monster Jams are awesome! One of these trucks was driven by a woman who was 5 feet tall. She was only as tall as the tires.
Check out the best saves in monster jam, these guys bring these trucks back from where they shouldn't come back from

So much fun to watch.
The first several rows used to not be blocked off. Took one accident to fix that.

Monster Jam comes to Lucas Oil Stadium here in Indianapolis every January or February . Gravedigger is probably the most popular truck.

SEND THEM!

Backflips are common
I'm not sure which video it is someone will have to find it and post it for him but the front flip is the most amazing
Just found your channel through the recommendations. Love it. If you haven't yet def check out some sprint car racing or late models
Grave Digger is my favorite! 😊
should do more - something with flips
Been to a few at State fairs.. crazy stuff!
Yes, very loud. Most of the crowd is wearing hearing protection

These monster trucks are about 12000 pounds and have approximately 1500 horsepower
You're about 4500 horsepower short buddy.
@zevynozevyn4102 they ain't 6000 horsepower sorry ur wrong
It literally took me 40 seconds to hear your accent. You could attend one of these events, and nobody would ever think you were from Sweden
Bigfoot, gravedigger and maximum destruction are probably the top 3 most famous. But there are so many good ones.
For reference, just the tires on these trucks are about 5 and a half feet tall
These vehicles are super reinforced and custom made. They have shock absorbers designed to help reduce the bounce when they land hard.
Went to monster jam as a teenager with my dad & yes we wore earplugs nearly the entire event. You can still hear but your also protecting your ears

Recky most of these have over 5,000 horsepower and the weigh close to 10,000 lb
Tires originally made for fertilizer spreader/sprayers known as floaters
Dude, watching this LIVE is amazing fun.
these are 10,000lbs trucks with a 1.500hp V8 super charger engine
I liked Bear Foot back in the 1980s when I was in elementary school.
To make those motors last they'd have to be dry sump.

What if aliens visited during a war and thought it was sport?
Those are big toys for crazy boys. I've been to the MONSTER JAM. It's so fun to watch. There are 7 Grave Diggers that tour the US.

Recky,
nothing says MERICA like jacked up trucks, big block supercharged engines, and tractor tires.
You need to watch one of them doing donuts you can dang near feel the earth spinning faster
No one can understand how loud they are if they haven't been in person
We bought my son tickets to the monster jam show that's going to be here in Oklahoma in February
i remember seeing grave digger in the skydome 30 years ago when i was a kid.
It is loud as HELL you can feel it
I guess it's only appropriate for a monster truck to be sponsored by Monster Energy. . .
I used to work in a statement that held Monster jam events. It’s much more fun to watch it on the video because when you’re there it’s just loud, stinky and dirty.
Look up tom meents he's known as the professor of the monster jam university
Grave Digger fan for life!!!
You got to check out Monster Jams freestyle where they do tricks with the trucks
As a kid Monster Jam would come through near us around the same time as my birthday and for many years my Dad would take me to go see them, it was always a good time. Love Monster jam 💖
What rally class would this be?
It's extremely loud so some people wear noise cancelling headphones
Actually, going to one is awesome. It’s an American thing.😂😂😂
Sunday Sunday Sunday , the commercial for monster jam was always too loud ✌️
Metal militia
Although I really do like the monster trucks.. I prefer Motocross or the arenacross for the x games is really fun that's done with motorcycles
Grave Digger is my favorite
if you go - bring ear plugs. it's freaking LOUD.
yeah, this rattles your brain for sure. it's painful.
American boys with their toys.
We are understandably completely confusing..
Watch old school monster trucks back early 80s and Bob Chandler he's Bigfoot monster truck
There is Monster Jam in Europe . . . I’m pretty sure
NASCAR was started when a group of MOONSHINERS decided to get together to see who would be better at outrunning the "revenuers".
MURICA!!!

Yeah. Bigfoot. And. Grave digger. William s
Go to an open arena show, the noise is .. a lot..
Gravedigger
Anything for a buck. PT Barnum type event.
Would you commute to work in one?
No parking space, NO PROBLEM!!
You need to watch the tricks, not jumps.
Grave digger
do you want something racing the fastest cars in racing 10 -12,000 horsepower. NHRA. the video is Fire-breathing monsters
