question.....How do you deal with AB yelling c'mon! Let's go! over and over when you are at home making dinner or doing "other" things? She has a very intense tone. I think I would shrivel if you know what I mean

Are all current professional pickleball players not former high-level tennis players? It appears so, suggesting a pre-existing dominance of tennis players in the sport. While it may be unlikely that the entire top ten pickleball professionals will be replaced in the coming year, the inevitability of such a transition looms. This transformation, I believe, will be driven by the influx of ATP/WTA level tennis players opting to switch to pickleball.
The swiftness of this shift will likely hinge on the rate at which tennis players decide to make the switch. Understandably, top 100 ATP/WTA pros may be less inclined due to the substantial financial incentives on their respective tours. However, for those struggling to make a living in tennis, the appeal of transitioning to pickleball may be more compelling.
The current pattern suggests that the transition from tennis to pickleball for top players takes a few years. I anticipate this timeline to expedite as higher-level tennis players increasingly make the move. An intriguing prospect is the emergence of a pickleball professional with no significant tennis background reaching the pinnacle of the sport. Establishing top-level players who aren't tennis transplants or retirees will be crucial for pickleball's credibility.
It's essential for the sport to foster elite athletes native to pickleball rather than relying solely on those who didn't succeed in tennis. Successful major sports typically feature elite players who have excelled within their own sport rather than being perceived as "failed" players from elsewhere. The development of homegrown talent will contribute significantly to the long-term success and legitimacy of pickleball as a distinct and thriving sport.

Much more geekery is required. I didn't hear a single stat! Not even a lonely heat map of backhand service return placements from the top 10 mens doubles players in 2022 :(
The real Iggy has obviously been kidnapped and Selkirk rolled out Jericho in a wig thinking we wouldn't notice

Hot take. Iggy world #1 next year. I think he believes it too even though he won't say it. I haven't ever watched a match where someone was consistently beating Ben Johns cross court dinking but that match with Loong he was.

Tennis players will def take over in singles in 2024... esp will the new paddles. less cat and mouse is a huge advantage for these tennis players with a live arm. Quang Duong is a good example..

You and Loong were beating the Johns brothers rather soundly, until Collin got hit in the face in the 4th and took a long break. A lot to take away from that match.

Ben and Collin are boring to watch as they don’t look like they’re having fun, rare emotional outburst, no trash talk, etc. And they sink you to sleep.
