I would love to see a video on how to patch holes in the wall where there is no backer. Examples: removed medicine cabinet, removed electrical boxes, and ect. I really enjoy your videos.
On our main channel I believe we have a few videos showing ways to sister in small studs in order to screw wire into for interior patches. Unfortunately on exterior patches you have to do some significant stucco breakout in order to expose good paper and wire to lath to
ASTM C 1063 allows for the use of... roofing nails no wad needed. If that doesn't work with your inspector tell him to get off your lawn, private property and do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
I`ve got OSB touching ground, no weep screed no paper. With smooth shank framing nails shot into the field to hang the lathe, smooth shank framing nails to hang the sheathing. Smooth shank framing nails to hang the ledger board(doesn't sound like a big deal here, but in conventional framing sheathing offers structural support, I`m not going to go into the ends and outs but use screws or ring shank, this isn't conventional framing). No wall studs just ledger board and bottom batter board on underpinning. This is all on TRACT HOUSING. So some major housing developer is walking around here obviously getting a pass at the good ol' boy club then the city expects to extort the home owner in inspection fees when they inevitably learn about these messes and come lord over us. This is a joke, fake and gay. We have to start drawing the line somewhere. My line starts on my property line. NOW GET OFF MY LAWN
