We live in a patriarchal society. Now something like taking the first step is considered bad when done by men, so if women do the same thing than that'll be worse.
Only solution is let the parents take the first step.

The true story of harassment actually took place in Australia. The lawyer of the accused(Sandesh Baliga) said that his behaviour was the result of his client having viewed Bollywood films in which stalking leads to romantic success. The court in Hobart, Tasmania did not convict Baliga, citing his cultural background. And he was let go.

wow, watching the video after three years only to realize that Vicky Kaushal is in it :D talking from a girl's perspective, what do u think the effect of Bollywood on them, after watching decades of stalking? THEY also think its the way. there are girls who think that if a guy is interested in her, he has to take the effort of following her around, that stalking is the way that a guy shows love etc. Its really fucked up, because of such girls, men keep thinking they have a chance even if the girl says no. i've literally heard one of my friends advise a guy that I already said "no" to, "go and ask her again".

This is the first time I watched the video as well, and what makes it so much worse is how I can imagine dozens of songs throughout my childhood (and even now) that i watched, in two languages, and except for the actors' faces changing it's the exact same. And the fact that even in 2017 there were songs like this is sickening. Just reminds me of the time when my mom told me about the time when one of her college classmates was made to leave education and get married because some boys were teasing her, except during a reunion when the boys found out they were so guiltstricken because they thought it was harmless fun, and that she was enjoying it as well, because that's what movies told them.

Our movies aren't a patch on Bollywood films when it comes to success, but I do not get why it is important for us to objectify women all the time.. their attire is their choice. We can't budge, all because of hypocrites in our country who happily watch songs of this kind, and then talk about women's freedom. This is not freedom, this is just reducing a woman to her body..
