      You are very welcome! As soon as I saw the year of the film-stock, I assumed it had that logo, and I’m glad I was right.
      Also, as soon as I saw Viacom’s logo, it immediately reminded me of the closing to PJ you uploaded with this same logo, although it was cut short.

      TheVintageTVArchive That's right! I almost forgot about uploading that! That was the only episode that a Viacom logo. I was upset that it was cut short. It was almost over. They should've let it finish.

    1:51 - Apparently the Filmways logo was forsaken in favor of the 1971 Viacom logo...

      I like the fact that just before the leader countdown, you can see the word "Filmways" and its logo symbol appear. It also appears again at the end. That and the "China girl" appears much earlier in the countdown (between 8 and 7, when I usually see it closer to the end of the count.)
      I love these old leaders, reminds me of watching all those old film reels when I was in grade school. I've always had a thing for them.

    I've always wondered why The Filmways logo was left off.

    • @TheVintageTVArchive
      @TheVintageTVArchive  6 лет назад +1

      Viacom used to do that in the days of film. I’m not entirely sure why.

    • @travis7310
      @travis7310 6 лет назад +2

      TheVintageTVArchive They did the same thing with "The Beverly Hillbillies." I'm not sure about "Green Acres." I don't believe Viacom ever owned that show.

      In 1983, these Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction episodes restored the Filmways logo when the episodes were converted to videotape.

      But in 1996 when Paramount was the owner, the Filmways logo was again missing. The DVDs of the first three seasons again brought the Filmways logo back.

      Thats a test pattern to make sure that the film emulsive dyes are in good shape. This one seems to have faded color though

      It’s just a China Girl in the countdown. You’ve seen them in 16mm prints of WB cartoons for “Looney Tunes” and “Merrie Melodies” that used the head and foot leaders for SMPTE Universal Leaders.

    @TheVintageTVArchive I have a question. Have you ever known of "Daniel Walterbury?" I want to ask you because he has many uploads of logos (he describes them as "rare") if they are real or not.

    • @TheVintageTVArchive
      @TheVintageTVArchive  6 лет назад +1

      Yes I have, and I never watch his videos because of that very reason.

    • @christianricana7761
      @christianricana7761 6 лет назад

      Sometimes, he uploads some V of Doom logos that they are "rare." I think they are not real. I saw one of his uploads with the V of Doom (filmed) logo with the text "Happy Holidays from Viacom," saying that it was taken from an airing of The Andy Griffith Show episode.

      @TheVintageTVArchive  6 лет назад +1

      Viacom never made such a logo, of course. Take his uploads with a grain of salt, and the old saying goes.

      What do you mean "Take his uploads with a grain of salt, and the old saying goes?"

    • @TheVintageTVArchive
      @TheVintageTVArchive  6 лет назад +1

      I mean to not fully believe his uploads, as most, if not all, may be fakes.

      Her brief appearance was for film processing laboratories to detemrine if the color was "natural". Of course, with a faded print such as this (especially processed in "Eastman Color"), who knows *what* color her dress and scarf originally were?
