"Take it on the Road" was recorded on 16 track tape, at the Bomb Shelter Studio in Nashville, TN. and mixed by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Langhorne Slim, Hooray for the Riff Raff). We wanted it to sound like a party that everyone is invited to - hence the mariachi trumpets! Written on John's army green Olympia typewriter, "Take it on the Road" expresses the need to pursue one's goals and leave behind all the negativity that surrounds us in our day to day lives.
