Question for you I run the supernova engine so I don't have the Baby 5 searcher and violas, instead scratchman apoos and izou. I feel like when I play the Pirate engine, I am searching away cards that I would normally want, do you ever feel that way when you play?
@@JaceRicee so i don’t really believe in that kind of logic, like throwing away cards you wanted based on what you couldnt search. i get the idea, but i’m always making decisions based on what i know in the moment and what is more likely vs less likely to happen based on my action. you have to think about what is the best move in the moment. you can’t base your plays on something you can’t control, like what the top 5 cards of your deck are. you don’t know what the top 5 are at any given time, so i just never worry about whiffing or about putting good cards to the bottom. it definitely feels bad sometimes, but i just put those feelings aside and only consider factors that are within my control. hopefully that makes sense. i come from yugioh, so the whole bottom 5 thing when you search is a relatively new concept to me so i’m still learning but that is how i think about it as of now. if i’m playing black yellow luffy where one card (gecko) is way more important than anything else, then maybe i consider not playing as many searchers. but for bonney, the searchers are more than just searchers. they are 1ks and they are blockers. they can’t just ignore the bonney or baby 5. they have to deal with it. it’s just too free in my opinion to not play it.
@@plasticbeachx3 That makes more sense. I think I just need more SIM time and more time being uncomfortable with a new Bonney deck Thank you for the reply. Super insightful!
