- The victim says she was lying in the sun, falling asleep on the sand when she was suddenly being punched by someone she had never met and for absolutely no good reason.
Lack of self control is becoming a pandemic. It’s getting ridiculous.

The victim had fallen asleep so, she couldn't stop that nasty beast from sneaking up & punching her. I don't understand why that lady's friend didn't stop the psycho! She just sat their watching. I know people can say that she might have been in shock but, even so. She could have tried to block that beast!!

If you are lower than your attacker and they are standing over you...
Use your legs. Those muscles are usually stronger and keeps the attacker away from your face/torso.
Here's what I was taught: kick/push your foot -as hard as you can- directly into their closest kneecap.
9 times out of ten their leg will be straight with kneecap locked..it will cause a world of pain and gives you the chance to run or if you have the means- further incapacitate the aggressor.
If it is a guy....well....I wouldn't hesitate to kick him in the nuts....just sayin'

Be careful...sometimes this behaviour can be a tricky distraction for other perpetrators to pick pocket or steal from other onlookers.

OMG....if I had been sitting there beside my friend and she got attacked like THAT.....most of my beach gear would still be missing. I would have thrown soda cans, snacks, my chair, my sunglasses, my towel, my book, my sun visor, my sun glasses and squirted sunblock in that heifer's face....not to mention the sand I would have thrown too. People would be finding my stuff till Labor Day....half buried in the sand. I would have left empty handed...with one flip flop...but my friend would not have gotten smacked and punched around like that. Can't go anywhere anymore without dealing with idiots!!!

When assaulted your response does not have to be equal to their actions but strategically should far exceed their effort...its obvious if you've trained or studied self defense at all. Fast overwhelming response that leaves them broken ends the fight, law enforcement likely would decline to arrest the defender in FL with clear video evidence and tons of witnesses. Or do what the assailant did and leave the area before they arrive.

Why do you all pick on her friend. Did you think maybe her friend is just not a violent person. They had been sleeping when this woman came out of nowhere. There are 3 reactions and when your brain is not quite awake, you have no choice over those reactions. Fight, flight, freeze. Her friend was in shock and so was the friend attacked or she would have been able to fight her off better.

I've been living in Miami for more than 40 years and I learn to contact with Cubans that a lot of them they're not mentally stable because in Cuba they were deprived of medicine and doctors and living in that communist country ruin their minds I feel sorry for them but you got to be careful they're very aggressive sometimes they are always yelling and they are very loud my humble opinion
