    What I’ve learned is that both calculations are right. The longer version tells the whole story. And the shorter version gives a deeper or hidden lesson to you.
    So for you in example you’re still a 34 LP but with a karmic debt 16. If you feel you have accomplished the 34 energy then that’s when the 16 is more of a concern for you.
    I’m a 29/11 born on the 2nd. And i love your videos. You have amazing insight. And helped me help others with numerology when I use it for my holistic and mindset coaching. 🕊️💐

    Great video and made me self-reflect. I was born in 05/09/1986 (dd/mm), based on the first calculation I am an 11 but the second suggest number 2. I think my personality is rather reflects the number 11 - In my business I try to avoid any type of partnerships and I achieve results with creativity.

    Hi Ann,
    I found your channel years ago and decided to check back again just now to find about the "correct" way to do lifepath calculation. I'm glad that we're on the same page of how we think/feel about this "correct" way lol. I used to be dogmatic and rigid myself but then there are many methods out there. Even Pythagorean isn't the only one. There are Chaldean/Kaballah numerology, Pythagorean/western numerology, Hindi/Indian numerology (Ankh Vidhya), Chinese/ Feng Shui numerology. Just like in Astrology, there's Vedic, Placidus and in the housing systems, some people are using whole house system, some other people even use Azimuth method, etc. There was someone who didn't resonate with the regular birthchart and then they experimented on many many charts until found which one who truly speaks to their soul.
    So i think there's no "correct" way to do lifepath calculation. Bcs each method would say different things. One method i'm 11, another method i'm 20/2, in Chaldean i have "small lifepath number" 11/2 and "big lifepath number" 29/2. What i like about Chaldean numeroscope is that it shows my Highest self, Higher self, and Human self. Tbh, i resonate less with 20/2 bcs, and resonate more with 11/2 bcs Libra is my South Node, My North Node is Aries. I have Karma in Leo, my midheaven is in Leo too. So i feel like i have to do something to the mass/public. In this case, i feel i'm more inclined to Chaldean numeroscope. Also in my Human Design i have channel Alpha (leader) but it has line 6, so it's about "shared" leadership (here, energy number 2 resides) but leadership is number 1.
    Actually, 11 is a sad number in Chaldean numerology, it's 11/2 is a number of stress, low energy, and low self-esteem. It’s a number of caring too much about other people’s opinions and it’s a number of inferior complexes. Therefore addictions come with the compound number of 11/2. 11 is the number of The symbolism of “a lion muzzled” means that one has a great deal of inner strength, but it all drowns in self-doubt, low self-esteem and mind racing. I'm not happy at all with many 11 on my chart (i have soul number 11, maturity number 11). It's really a sad number for me. haha. I talked to someone who has been on numerology as well and she said that 11 isn't that "good". In financial numerology, it means "financial struggling", it's the number of "poor". 😅😅
    With this wide range of perspective, i feel like i don't really care whether i use the "correct" method or not. That's not the point. The purpose of numerology/astrology/other divination is to give insights/guidance on how we navigate our inner world (intuition) with our outer world (what we see/think in our 3D reality). I kinda see them as "tools", instead of "holy books". I see them as "statistics" with its deviation numbers (errors) too. So i agree with you that nobody can prove which one is the "correct" method. I also love how you explained that we should trust to our intuition more rather than adopting rigid philosophy. I can see how much you became more flexible in your approach. My personality number is 7, so i can be overly hyper-critical and forgot the big picture, that divination is tool to "guide" us, not paralyzing us in what's "correct"/"wrong". I was guilty of that too.
    Btw, speaking of "sub lesson" numbers, somehow i resonate more with 38/11 😅 bcs i have Chiron in Gemini and Taurus (dodecatemoria). Natally i have Neptune in 2H, being responsible with my finance is my lesson (8). As well as in how i communicate myself (3).
    If i add my numbers straight forward one by one it's 29/11. But if i single out the 11 as one number (master number rule), then i got 38/11. This 3 and 8 as sub lessons, resonates me BEST!
    I'm glad i found this video. Thank you Ann.
    EDIT :
    what a coincidence, i just found Josh Siegel method. Josh Siegel is an expert numerologist with 25 years of experience, his method is adding DD + MM. then adding all numbers in YYYY,then adding the results of DDMM and YYYY. i got 38! And previously i said that i relate to 3 and 8 sub lessons. I think Josh Siegel method is for me 😅

    I think your preferred method is the correct one Anne. This thing of having multiple methods makes numerology looks like mambo jambo stuff. And people who are skeptics will have a space to criticize your work guys.

      The same could be said of astrology with it many house systems or surgeons in hospitals who go about operating on the same condition 1000 different ways. Diversity of approach does not void efficacy.
      I think it’s more a matter of educating the public so that they let their own intuition have the final say (as Anne mentioned).

    I recently ran into this when looking at my chart from a different calculator and the numbers were different in some places. I got so confused because I felt the need to "get it right" lol. Like you I came to the conclusion that we have to intuit which numbers apply better and that's the only way. Astrology has similar instances where you must use intuition to best interpret placements. Just like we need to use our intuition and instincts for life decisions, systems, and oracles meant to guide us must be evaluated intuitively.

    If the method cannot ever produce 33, master number, how can it be correct? When each number is reduced before adding together it is impossible to produce master number 33.

    Hi Ann….my birthday is April 3, 1946. Using the traditional life path calculating method, I am a 27/9 which so far seems to make sense. When using your method, I come out as a 9 with no sub lessons. What exactly does that mean? Don’t we always have sub lessons, or have I missed something here……

    • @annperry-numerologist
      @annperry-numerologist  Год назад

      Hi Sherry Warren-Biers,
      Great question!
      No you don't always have sub lessons. Sometimes , as in your case, it simply adds up to a 9 which implies that your biggest lesson relates to the 9. But what's important is that you explore both ways of calculation. If the sub lessons of the 2 and the 7 speak to you, then those are your lessons. I hope this helps. :-)

    Read Goodwin's books years ago..among others. This lady "feels" like her chosen method is
    the correct one. And she readily admits to the lack of a Pythagorean established method.
    This was my discovery decades ago, and the main reason why I moved away from numerology, at least when giving readings for others. Goodwin took a mathematical and
    somewhat scientific approach to this form of divination. Personally, I felt like he took his
    explorations way too seriously and I struggled to warm up to his methods.
    It was the same issue I had with Feng Shui. Essentially there were 2 schools of thought,
    The rigid and supposedly more historically accurate Compass School, and the Black
    Hat Zen influenced and more intuitive Form School. Which I studied under Lin Yun.
    What I've learned with these and many other forms of divination is that they can and do
    act as talismans and tools we use to enter into our own intuition and common sense. Tarot cards and runes do not contain the messages. They merely provide a convenient
    and relatively comfortable way for the reader to enter the world of intuitive sensing.
    The danger is to turn these methods into the source of the message, and create yet
    another pseudo science. IMHO

      So it is possible to be a 4 or a 6 life path number when we add straight across. Example Jan 1, 2000. Or in the case of the 6, Jan 1, 2002. But what's really important is tapping into how the numbers make you feel. I love that you are expanding your thinking on all of this! Awesome insights!

      Hi Kristin,
      So the example I gave in the video was on a date of birth of Sept 4th, 1969. My preferred method for calculating a date of birth goes like this...
      Sept =9
      4th day =4
      1969= 1+9+6+9= 25 Now reduce 25 to 7.
      Now add 9+4+7= 20/2.
      I hope this helps. :-)
