In Peru we have a lot like those. The products are a little bit cheaper than in real market, but the procedence is not totally moral.
But, the people who sell those stuff got to make their way to eat.
Even if the procedence of the products isn't the one you hope, it is a market, so the products are obviously of quality.

Not a whole lot appears to happen this episode, but it's actually chock full of Easter eggs and foreshadowing that'll only make sense once you're farther in the series. it's one reason that makes this show so rewatchable. You can see how all the little details were there all along.
