Megan, you are a hero. Most people don’t understand how hard it is to navigate your way free of indoctrination. Especially when the price you pay is the relationship with your family.

That Jewish guy she talked with sounded very wise, intellectual, and made so many good points she hadn’t thought of before. He truly gave Megan an epiphany and opened her eyes, and I commend him for that. I also commend her for leaving not just the WBC; but their pessimistic, negative, dark, hateful lifestyle as well.

You have learned so much on your journey of love and hope. You are brave. You left your comfort zone and family, following the truth of what love means and how it represents itself. I do not feel hate towards you, your family, or any other hateful groups and people. I feel sad for these kinds of people because they live each day not knowing what love is. Love is the most important thing of all. There is no love in hate. There is no love in judgement. I grew up with people who could not show love. I think that seeing what love isn't, gives you the choice to be extra loving, or extra hateful. We must feed and nurture love to become love.

I'm surprised they let her go to college and educate herself, learning how to think is what set her free.

Meghan is a wonderful person - it must have taken an enormous amount of strength to leave her family, and the only life she’d ever known, then to go into a world which could easily have been so hostile towards her! I’m so glad she saw the light! Now hopefully it’s time for the other young members to follow suit! Xxx

A brave woman. She is atoning for her actions, as a member of a hateful, vengeful community. It must have been difficult to severe ties with her family, but her sense of decency, and humanity forced her to choose. I hope her life is fulfilling and productive on the outside, because the world is crap right now.

I think it's terrible when people aren't willing to look past what Megan and other ex WBC members were taught while growing up. They had no control or say over their upbringing.
I'm glad she said most people are willing to look past it.

I think she must be tired of speaking on the same thing over and over. She’s done so much other work since leaving, that I think we have problems focusing on, as her past is so intriguing.

What is good intentions in those signs a yelling what you are yelling about Gay people.
Unless you still believe Gays are going to hell.
I’m trying to find anything in your interviews that you don’t believe that.
Am I wrong? I hope so.

@@thegamingknight2096Absolutely, she has been VERY outspoken about her experience and has really been a standard bearer for the idea that we need to approach opposing ideas very differently than we are taught these days, both from the Westboro Baptist Church and, all to often, from mainstream society. Unfortunately, too many of the comments on her videos seem to indicate that people just aren't getting it.

She said on a talk show "I'm all for same sex marriage now, love is love". You have to understand she was raised with these ideas embedded in her mind and every aspect of her life. This is what happens to people in "cults". ♥

What she means by that is that WBC literally believes warning people that their sin will take them to hell is a good intention. In their thinking it is the only form of love.

Nothing on the television could hurt you and it was in a land of make believe. Then half way through, things like social media can cone out the television like poltergeist and suck you in somewhere else. Where that woman from poltergeist " this room .... Is clean "
