Thanks for the demo Tom. Of course this is a monotype!! Many printmakers do several layers for a monotype. If it is one unique image that cannot be repeated, then it is a monotype!!
Just because you layer, doesn't make it NOT a monotype. It's an image that can't be editioned so that makes it a monotype. The citrus oil thinner is an interesting idea.
Yes, the citrus thinner really responds radically different than a mineral or petroleum solvent like turps or kerosene. It's a lot of fun to play with.
Meat cutters/butchers/cheese mongers traditionally wrapped their product in a waxed “butcher” paper and then wrote on the paper the name/price, if that helps. They believe that European grocery stores/markets still wrap & mark meat/cheese this way 😊
This is inspiring, thank you! I saw a tree-ant type figure but the nude from back layering monotype turned out very nice!
Ok. thank you.
One on one monotype. And I love the idea! Thanx for sharing
Thanks for watching and happy monotyping
I like your innovative approach to creating your double monotype - and the end result! Great figure painting.
Thank you. And I like your tag. My grandmother was a Mannix from the Isle of Man.
Hello from France. Thanks a lot for sharing. Great work.

Also what is a grease pencil please
It's a wax drawing/writing tool, also known as a china marker, chinagraph pencil, or wax pencil.

I saw a ghost or a genie or pippi longstocking even. He saw a naked woman. Sad
I dont get it. What is sad about diffent point of views? :)
Female form regardless how presented always screams.
That is a statement that requires some subtle explanation.
@@batswbennett I agree, a most peculiar statement.
