- Dan Niles of Niles Investment Management says his biggest concern for NVIDIA is that chip supply is catching up with demand, which could lead to weaker earnings guidance.
I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.

what is he talking about "supply is catching up with demand"? There is a Chip shortage! Blackwell is not even available yet. It is being produced and is in shortage. Pre-ordered, unavailable, not enough chips! That is what tthe price of NVIDIA's chips is driving so high!
Hyperscalers are not "ordering as needed." Their latest earnings reports stated that they are increasing capex into 2025.

Nvidia typically moves lower prior to earnings. A lot of investors dump prior to earnings and take profits. Happens every single quarter. Possible we already hit the low, but $85-$95 is certainly possible. Just a spectacular buying opportunity
I don’t know Dan Niles, you already lost credibility when it comes to NVDA a while ago.
We hear this every quarter. China restrictions, double orders, competitive chips. None of this FUD has slowed NVDA. Every hyperscaler ER stated they are accelerating purchases. OTOH, the delay in Blackwell might affect guidance. But only for single quarter.

One small story 20+ years ago, he said Intel would go to appox $200 from $60 while on NBR so I bought 50 shares around a year later it was $20 , never hit 60 again just one story , so be careful

It’s blind faith and sentiments like these that scare me. I hold NVDA but there’s no doubt valuations are off the roof. It will only take one small scare and the market will willingly dump everything on retail. It’s really not about how amazing nvidia is (which it is and will remain) - its market sentiment. You cannot fight the market and you cannot preempt it. Just be a little more cautious. There’s no rush. If rate cuts are seen as a weakening economy, NVDA’s blowout earnings won’t be enough to warrant a price tag that continues to climb.

My opinion is NVDA9K breaks 1, perhaps reaches 10 ATH, if conditions are right. But broader forces are at play now. We’re moving into really unknown territory. And these entities are shrewd. I think there’s massive manipulation ahead. If NVDA9K survives that, well, we’re likely in for a good pump.

Dan used to be a bull of NVDA and bear of AAPL through out the 2023 ,but now his attitude reversal towards NVDA might just a “sour grape” mindset driven by taking the profit of NVDA too early maybe around 70-80s , the theory or reason behind his bearish tone is all pure skepticism which has no any side evidence to support such as TSM oR some Taiwan Ai server suppliers recent July rev report. I think Dan will probably regret not reload NVDA at low amid this week's sell off.
