    STUFFED TOMATO
    Stuffed Tomato
    Preparation time 15 minutes
    Cooking time 20-25 minutes
    Serving 4
    Ingredients
    For Stuffing
    2 tbsp Oil (तेल)
    1 tsp Cumin Seeds (जीरा)
    ½ tsp Fennel Seeds (सौंफ)
    ¼ tsp crushed Coriander Seeds (टूटे हुए धनिया के बीज)
    1 inch Ginger - chopped (अदरक)
    2 fresh Green Chillies - chopped (हरी मिर्च)
    2 medium Potatoes - chopped (आलू)
    Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
    ½ tsp Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर)
    ½ tsp Degi Red Chilli Powder (देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
    ½ tsp Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर)
    100 gm Paneer - chopped (पनीर)
    ¼ cup fresh Green Peas - boiled (हरे मटर)
    2 tbsp Coriander & Mint Leaves - chopped (धनिये और पुदीने के पत्ते)
    For Gravy
    2 tbsp Oil (तेल)
    1 tsp Cumin Seeds (जीरा)
    1 inch Ginger - chopped (अदरक)
    1 fresh Green Chilli - chopped (हरी मिर्च)
    ½ tsp Turmeric Powder (हल्दी पाउडर)
    1 tsp Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर)
    ¼ tsp Asafoetida (हींग)
    ½ tsp Degi Red Chilli Powder (देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
    1 cup Tomato Puree (टाॅमेटो प्यूरी)
    Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
    ½ tsp Sugar (चीनी)
    1 tbsp Butter (मक्खन)
    1 tbsp Fresh Cream (मलाई)
    For Marinating Tomatoes
    1 tbsp Oil (तेल)
    Salt to taste (नमक स्वादानुसार)
    ¼ tsp Degi Red Chilli Powder (देगी लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
    ¼ tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves (कसूरी मेथी)
    4-5 Tomatoes - hallowed (टमाटर)
    For Garnish
    Fresh Coriander Leaves (ताजा धनिया पत्ता)
    Fried Cashew Nuts (तले हुए काजू)
    Fresh Cream (मलाई)
    Process
    For Stuffing
    In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, crushed coriander seeds, ginger, green chillies and saute for half a minute.
    Then add the chopped potatoes, salt, turmeric powder, degi red chilli powder, coriander powder, stir it once and add water then cover and cook until the potatoes are 70-80 % cooked.
    Remove the lid, stir it once then add paneer and saute for a minute.
    Now mash this mixture using a fork or a masher then add the green peas, coriander & mint leaves and mix everything properly. Keep aside for further use.
    For Gravy
    In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, ginger, green chilli, turmeric powder, coriander powder, asafoetida, degi red chilli powder and saute for half a minute.
    Now add tomato puree, salt, butter and stir it once and let it boil for a minute on medium heat.
    Keep aside for further use.
    For Marinating Tomatoes
    In a bowl add oil, salt, degi red chilli powder, dried fenugreek leaves, mix it once then add the hallowed tomatoes and apply this marination in and out of the tomatoes properly. Keep aside for further use.
    For Assembling Stuffed Tomato
    Firstly take the marinated tomatoes and stuff them tightly with the prepared stuffing.
    Then place them in the gravy and put a lid on then simmer it on low heat for 10-12 minutes.
    Now remove the cooked tomatoes out of the gravy and keep aside.
    Take the gravy and strain it properly then add it back in the pan and finish it with fresh cream and mix it properly. And switch off the flames.
    Now to serve, pour the gravy in the serving plate and place the tomatoes in it.
    Then garnish with coriander leaves, fresh cream, fried cashew nuts.

    The difference between other cooking channels and Ranveer's channel is that other channels are just concerned about *RECIPE* But Ranveer is *INTERACTIVE* , *ENTERTAINING* , and most importantly *DOWN TO EARTH* and *NATURAL*

    My mom puts some stuffing to the gravy as well. Makes it so amazingly thick and lush. This is her signature dish. Your recipe looks amazing!

    In my college days one small hotel used to serve "Tomato kofta"; almost similiar recipe with fried stuffed tomato with a layer of gram-flour coated on it and served with gravey.
    This recipe today brought those memories back.

    25 years ago I had dinner at a dhaba. The dhaba was located outside my college on grant trunk road. I still remember the bharwa tamatar I had that day. This one is a worthy successor. Thank You.
    I followed the recipe exactly. Somehow I ended up with stuffing for 7 tomatoes instead of 5 even though my tomatoes are huge. Also, instead of adding malai to the gravy, I recommend adding it on top of the tomato just before eating. Yum.

    For my tenth marriage anniversary I made ten dishes to surprise my husband. I follow your recipes because I relate to your cooking procedures and pattern of adding mixing spices.     In all recipes you drop some knowledge which can be used in so many daily food recipes you know like when to put salt how much to sauté. I did tried these recipes because I love eating I am not keen on cooking but I live away from family and avoid eating outside. So you came to my rescue. But I am commenting here to say Thank you because listening to you I have become instinctive and I feel happy to cook few people even complimented me.     what is happening on this channel? Second time in a row an old-time recipe that was taught to every student of a hobby cookery class/ Home science as a fancy dish to impress dinner guests. We make it with a stuffing of onion, capsicum, paneer mixed with/ without leftover rice. And for us, it is always made with big Bombay tomatoes ( or San Marzano) finished in the microwave. THANK YOU for bringing back so many memories of dinners past. :)))
