6:31 Veinmine works off of your pickaxe skill, so to be able to pop everything in 2 hits, you need a pickaxe skill of >40-50. That can all be changed in the configs, but that's the default state IIRC.

I think the bonus episode with builder/home deco talk is a great idea 👍 off camera would be a missed opportunity to make an episode that might not be for everyone, but will make those who like it really happy.
Also, the stone wall as is is.. very utilitarian. Gets the job done but no points on aesthetics. Staggered walls, or just one of height then arches, a lot more could be done. Personally, even if it's a lot more stone and time, I only build with 2x1 blocks in visible areas.
Final thought: It's good to wait until mistlands to build a final base. In an defensible area that has both plains and mistlands. This way you can grow everything.

If you have more cores than you need- dont throw them away- use them as fireworks and get some entertainment out of them!
Note- you can put the maypole on the roof if needed...
Honestly, gonna miss the wooden walls. Gave the place a molded and homey look, but its undeniable that the stone is better defense.
Raised earth walls can look good too. I'll have to see what Glitchy did on his personal run that he's not fond of. And I have now looked. Ok, I see what he means, although he's done a pretty good job with them considering the terrain. But they can look fine too, if you follow the terrain grid. Its all a matter of taste.

The stone walls around the base look like somethings along the interstate to block noise from residential areas, 2x4 blocks staggered look much better. Who let Glitchy build?

If you offset the stone wall it will look 100 times better.

I just redid my base too with all the new Ashland stuff it was getting crowded so actually made a storage area lol

Kinda disappointed tbh, after the perfect Waffles moment with the arrows you then went on to talk about maybe losing the stone circle. I was entirely expecting you to try but then you didn't, genuinely sad we didn't get the moment of realisation we NEARLY got! 🤣
The fort is taking shape nicely though, looking forward to seeing how that turns out.
