    I do that on a flat board. I've never seen it done on a panel, that makes a lot of sence. Brilliant! Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you very much for taking the time to show your paper stretching process. By the way, the way you show deep wrinkles in old faces is extremely convincing. I sure would like to see a video full of close-up shots of that technique.

    I used to do that with glue. Never think it could be done with stapler like canvas. Brilliant idea!!!

      It doesn't matter if you use glue, but you can't use the back of the paper.
      I paint both front and back of the paper.

      I paint in a dry state at first.
      And you can spray water in the middle.

    Thanks for sharing! I am new in watercolors painting world and I have a question...when your painting is done and you want to keep it, you let it on the panel or remove it from the panel? And to preserve it, do you put a varnish on it or frame it under a frame specially made for watercolors painting?

      When I finish painting, I remove the painting from the panel. Then I do another painting on the back side of the paper.
      If you paint on both the front and back sides of the paper, some are kept and some are discarded.

    Hi Misulbu. Thank you forthis teaching. I have a question... This paper is thick Arches so you can use the other side to paint too. Do you think I could paint both sides of 140 paper?

      I don't know what 140 sheets of paper mean.
      I mostly use both the front and the back.

      @@misulbu 종이 두께가 더 얇은 것 140 lb(파운드)를 말하는데요. 그 얇은 화지도 앞뒷면을 다 이용할 수 있냐는 질문입니다. 물론 더 두꺼운 300 lb 뿐만 아니라 다른 브랜드도 더 두꺼운 것도 있습니다.(미국)

    공부가 됐습니다.^^근데 마지막에 제거하는거는 왜 하는건지 궁금합니다.
    판넬에 호츠키스 찍어서 말린뒤 그 판넬위에서 그리는게 아닌지요? 혹시 제거한 종이로 다시 화판에 옮겨 그리는건가요?

      네. 맞습니다.
      저는 앞면과 뒷면 모두를 사용합니다.
      작업이 끝나면 같은 방법으로 배접을 하거나 잘라서 테이핑해서 사용합니다.

    I’ve never seen this done with paper, only canvas. What type of paper is this, cotton? Is there a reason to remove it from the frame or can you just leave it on there?

      It's water.
      Wet the paper in water and fix it while pulling it on the panel.
      That way, when the paper is dried, the paper will not be bumpy even if you draw with a lot of water.

      If you attach paper to the panel, you can paint it with flat paper even if you use a lot of water.
      That's the biggest difference.
      Watercolor pads are good, but they are expensive, so I attach them to the panel and use them.

    What color do you use sir?

      The colors I use a lot are yellow ochre and rose madder, permanent red, brown, vandyke brown, yellow green, peacock blue, cobalt blue, ultramarine, opera, black, blue grey, violet, sap green, lemon yellow.

      I use an oriental painting brush.
      It's a brush imported from China, but there's no exact name.
      They're all similar.
      It is about 4cm long and 1cm thick.

    수채화도 배접을 하는군요.. 캔버스 처럼.. 캔버스천만 틀에 짜서 쓰는건줄 알았는데..
    물에 젹셔 늘어지게 하고서는 타카 박고 말려서 팽팽하게 하는 거 같은데 맞나요..? ㅎ
    천 땡기는 것 보다는 덜 힘들어 보이는데 이것도 나름 요령이 필요하겠죠..? 영상 잘봤습니다. 이 영상 아니었으면 모르고 있을뻔 했어요. ㅎ

      네. 맞습니다.
      패드를 사용하고 싶은데 가격이 부담되다보니 번거롭지만 배접해서 사용합니다.
      캔버스보다 힘은 덜 들지만 너무 당기면 찢어지는데 한두 번 하다보면 금방입니다.

      It's a difficult question for me to answer.
      I usually use vandyke brown,rose madder,violet,cobalt blue, ultramarine for dark areas.
