I used Mogno all last summer. It was either that or Momma Bears Menthol Grapefruit. The Mogno Bar last for a long time. I think it is one of the best values in shaving right now. I used Pitralon Classic After Shave the German Version with the Mogno they seemed to work together.
Hi Mark- Great shave and soap review; thank you! This looked like a nice shaving experience for you. The bar soaps seem to work very well when applied like a shaving stick followed by a face lather. I hope you have a great weekend ahead. Take good care and best regards, as always!
Mark ! I just love when you give the victory clap of completion. I laugh when u do that!!! I do the same thing doing things lol . Have a great week!!!🌞 . Lol (VLS)
Victor, that's neat!:) Funnily, looking back, I don't know how it started. I guess it's just something that felt natural for me to do .:) No planning or foresight. It just happened. :) Like you, I love wrapping up things with that clap.:)
Portugal does have a long tradition of making high quality bar soap. Before the mentioned founding in 1887 bar soap with nice scents were only available for royality and upper class. Claus Porto did change that and further Ach Brito after World War I. As a portuguese I'm always a little proud seeing products from home.
@@MarkSzorady Thanks for your kind and honest words Sir. Just because we both shave we have meet here. I love this hobby. Keep up the nice videos Mark, best wishes.
Wonderful shave Mark! I have seen Magno being offered by various vendors, but never so any content creators use it. It really looks like a good soap. My only negattive about the soap is that it doesn't come in a container and that is a dealbreaker for me. Have a great day!0
Nice review and shave. That bar soap definitely provided a much better lather than the last bar soap you reviewed. While I prefer soaps that come in a container, it's always informative to have choices. Enjoy your Easter weekend.
Bart, Thanks so much. Yes, this soap was a real improvement over the Granado. However, I've done some head shaves with Granado and got some good, smooth results. but yes, I'd think the lather from Mogno is more of what most wet shaves want.
Thanks, Daniel. :) Another viewer mentioned that the previous intro was a bit long and preferred the old one that was short. So, I took that bit of music and reworked with new imagery. :) I think it works.:) Plus, I'm trying to tighten up the videos. Thanks for the feedback on this. :)
Hi Mark, nice shave! The soap works terrific and is a staple in my shave den. I would have used your semouge boar brush also from Portugal. On my opinion, i'ts the better fit for the soap than a chinese brush with an italian automaker in the name.... But perhaps the semouge is not broken in yet...
Nice video. Interesting soap (have so many , trying to stay away from buying new ones). For me that blades is useless, doesn't cut but rather pulls hairs....I have thick dense beard. But Shark blades are OK 2max shaves.
Mark , another great shave ! that soap looks like it performed above and beyond . You said about the aftershave that You didn't have the matching aftershave . is it just Me or doYou and others try to match the soap with the aftershave ? if i use Tabac I always use Tabac aftershave , 100% of the time . if I use Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood i use the matching aftershave 100% of the time . Maybe something for Monday Morning Mailbag ?? have a great Easter and stay safe
Hi, david. I was unable to find any sort of Mogno post shave product to pair with the soap. Because, like you, I keep things in the same scent line. If I use PAA's future Fiction shave soap, the after shave is going to be Future Fiction. I do mix things up at times when using some of the more commercial shave soaps. Tabac is usually followed by Clubman Pinuad. But, I have got to get Tabac's after shave for sure! So, I do match things up when it comes to Artisan soaps, but not as much when using the stuff purchased at big box stores or from Amazon. Sometimes I'll pair, other times, I'll mix and match.
@@MarkSzorady , I try My best to match them . with a soap like Proraso White , I find the scent is not strong at all . that is when I will use an aftershave that has no matching soap . maybe Brut or Draggon Noir .
I just recently bought a little nickel razor holder/ stand and the only razor it fits of mine is the Fatip Grande OC. I didn’t intend for it to be used for that razor but it actually fits it perfectly and all my other razors lean in the stand or just don’t fit at all
I had my first shave with Mogno this morning. Worst shave I've had in a VERY long time. Little Cushion and very little slickness. I was very disappointed because it was so much different from what I've heard in the online forums. I'm sure it's something I've done, since it's the first time I've used it. But, honestly, Arko is much better. Maybe I just like Tallow soaps better, I don't know.
nice shave, Mark !! i like the Mogno too
Thanks, Razor Michl.:)

Ach Brito Lavender shave cream in a tube is nice

Can you melt the Mogno soap, and pour it into a bowl?
“Goodfellas Smile” is a new artisan out of Italy i believe. You can purchase it from WestCoastShaving
Thanks, Mike.:) I'll give it a look.:)

Morning!:)
Not being funny but is there any product you don’t like ?
Paul, I just love the process.:)
Version 1 or 2 head on the razor?
This is the milder Fatip version for sure.:)
