- And still, she stands. What's the mark of a mother's strength? Her ability to survive. In John 19, we see Mary, the mother of Jesus, become Mary, the sole survivor. She was there for Jesus' alpha moment, His baffling birth; now she stands in the place of excruciating pain, Jesus' omega moment on the cross. Mothers have to stare at things they don't want to see. They have to watch their children suffer through things they can't help them through. From alpha to omega, she endures the unbearable. But even after everything you love leaves, God stays. Jesus hung His head on the cross, yet Mary still stood. She knew that God wasn’t leaving her homeless and that her motherhood was not a wash. She knew that even as a sole survivor, she was backed by a great God - and so are you.

I AM a survivor, Bishop Jakes, your message helped me grieve for the loss of my only offspring. My son, at age 48 passed of asthma.
Yes, I recall many days and nights being with him through asthma attacks when he was a child, only to watch him smoke daily as an adult. I stayed by his side the three weeks he was unconscious, in the hospital before he passed. Friends and family wondered why I couldn't cry after he passed; it's because I cried so much during his lifetime. He was a confessed Christian, I believe I will see him again. I raised his two children, my grandchildren into their adulthood and their faith in Jesus Christ. It's only Christ Jesus who "keeps" me strong. And, lets me know I'm not forgotten and actually brings joy to my life in worshipping HIM.
YES, Motherhood "IS" from the cradle to the grave.

Sole Survivor, As a single I lost my son to cancer, I watch him suffer for six months & almost lost my youngest son to a massive heart attack, but God saved him hallelujah!!. Now I have a daughter mental problems at 49yrs old. I was diagnosed with cancer last year. It is in remission know. I am not as weak, I know I have to stay strong for both children. I will be a survivor. Thanks Bishop for this message.
I paid my Sweetest Sacrifice. After 15 days having spend all my pension payout money to find my child to bury. I sold all my furniture to pay my legal team. I kept calm and prayed at 3am, the time when Jesus Christ gave his Holy Spirit back to His father. I remain praying then.
This was a good one. I lost my daughter when she was 2 months old. I understand toughness and being by yourself. I still had a 2 year old that I had to take care of. Her father put her on he stomach and she suffocated. 2 days after she passed he left me and I had to then deal with grief of not only losing a baby, her father left, and then having to hold it together and take care of my daughter. Thats a hard pill to swallow. I made it though. Its been a wild hard ride but God!!!! I am blessed still after all of that. God is good and I don't understand why he needed me to go through that but he knows better than I do and I trust him. Amen

The most difficult ceremony that I ever listened to. From a boy I could not listen to any messages to do with that crucifixion. I got so upset and cried all day. It was always the saddest day of my life. I wi spend the whole day at the beach alone. Thank God 🙏 today I have the courage to listen. Hum..bui..I still cry. What uh God I serve. Blessings.

What your describing Bishop, is my life exactly, I still cry over them, I have 4 kids, they're grown now and know it all. I just lost my son at the age of 31. He overcame heroin addiction, was sober and clean for 6 yrs. and last month he hung himself. By the grace of God and only by his Grace, I'm still here, sober and healthy. I'm still mourning, it comes in waves, but I trust God with all my being. This tragedy did not take me back out. This is the goodness and God's great love for me and I'm honored and grateful to be loved by God. God sees me. That amazes me. By God's Grace, I am almost 5 yrs. sober from alcohol. I just keep going and trusting God. I'm free today by His blood. Glory Glory Glory.

I am here. My mom visited me last night. I had pulled out picture of her. She is in Heaven caring for my four babies that went to Heaven one year before she went. Her dream was to care for grandkids. I since adopted two school aged troubled boys who have struggled and continue to struggle with life’s challenges to this day. I stand on Gods promises to guide and protect them. I lost my daughter, lost my mom and recently lost my brother all within 2 1/2 years. GOD is why I am still standing because my flesh is broken.
I Thank God for Bishop Jakes. I tell God whatever He wants me to know and whatever He wants me to do, make it as plain as the nose is on my face. Therefore, whenever the time comes for me to be instructed by God, whenever I'm about to get a Blessing, whenever I've done something or doing something wrong; whatever the situation is, He uses him to get the message to me and has been since 2004. That year I was awakened by his voice on T.V. at
3 a. m. and was instructed to get Luke 2:52, write it down and read it every day for 52 days. Because of that obedience, two years later I was able to earn a B.A. in Social Work at the age of 48 from SLU in Hammond, LA. At this point in my life, I'm 63 years old and have gone back to SLU to complete my Masters. Yes, still from the favor gained from Luke 2:52. Even though now I am aware of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, God still uses him when I neglect to adhere to what the Spirit tells me. I Love Bishop Jakes and know that God REALLY DID SOMETHING SPECIAL WHEN HE MADE HIM!!

Yes you are. I have 8 kids 5 boys an 3 girls. I gave my daughter up for adoption but my Father is so good he brought her back to me as he promised. I watch my oldest 4 children run away because of my rules I put my trust in God. My husband abused me I still put my trust in God . I've lost my mom at 23 I lost my sister 2 years ago an now my grandmother is on hospice . But I still Trust the Lord. I lost 2 of my children dad at 26 , he didn't work he sold drugs so I couldn't get social security . I just have always put my Trust in God. I know that I may go through but Jesus says I can come out. Come to me all year are heavy laden an I will give you rest. So through the strength of my Father God I'm still here. Through it all I'm still here.

The cross we bare as mothers, the love of God, lover of my soul, the tears God sees us cry, for the children we bare in our womb. Thank you mother for your nurturing, didn't understand until I became a mother. Thank you God for your love and nurturing that enabled me to be who I am and who I bared in my womb. 🙏🙏🙏😌

My mother is a 3 time breast cancer survivor and now has a chronic illness. But can I tell you GOD made my mother is STRONGEST angel. I don’t know anyone on this earth that could be fight after going through what she has. Her love keeps me going every moment of ever day. I can only hope to be half the woman she is today. Thank you God for the unconditional love of my life. I am forever grateful for her essence even through the pain
