Flare doesn't exile if the ally search whiffs, which is an added bonus. Devil's Luck is great against Beyond the Veil. Avoid 10 damage when cycling your deck in Dunwich.
Recently played an Exiled Calvin deck and the cards really fit him. Good call on the On Your Own, wish I had tried that. I found Resourceful not that strong in an Exile deck as there isn't that much going to the discard pile.
I don't think Stroke of Luck has any negative interaction with passing tests (except Ancient Stone). The definite weirdness is with "automatically evade" cards, which do not involve tests at all. "Automatically successful" cards DO still involve tests (and so you can commit skill cards to them, etc). What "automatically successful" does is set the difficulty of the test to 0 in ST.6. That makes it very easy to "pass by 2 or more" and suchlike, but the one bad spot for "automatically successful" is a thing like Ancient Stone, as the recorded difficulty will be zero. -(Although I don't think there are any investigators who can play both Stroke of Luck (which has to be committed to your own tests) and the upgraded Ancient Stones, without Teamwork/etc nonsense.)-
@@nicmichaud7868 Derp, duh. For some idiotic reason, I had "main survivor, secondary seeker, nope Darrell Simmons doesn't exist yet" stuck in mind, but obviously it's the opposite.
Yes, you'll want one copy of Deja Vu to be your first upgrade. Then you can grab a few exile cards before grabbing a second copy of Deja Vu if you feel you want it.
4:15 there is that one Dunwich treachery card that deals 10 damage when you have no cards in your deck. Pretty niche, tho

Innsmouth announcement HYPE!
Great content, really enjoying it. Just wondering, I thought you always had to spend a minimum of 1 to buy any card?
My problem with Deja vu is that 5 xp is usually about as much as I save using it.
I’d still like to see the Hand-Size Seeker archetype.
Beyond the Veil in Dunwich deals 10 damage.
Yes, thanks for sharing the name, that was the one I meant by the Yog-Sothoth card.

So... to what should be upgraded first? Buying Deja Vu?...
