I just discovered Taimane tonight, 07-7-2019. Spent the last several hours watching all of her performances. Breathtaking. And as I watch this performance I realize that if She had an animal totem it would have to be the Humming Bird. So full of energy, speed, and precision. So beautiful.
Energy, speed and precision. However, just try not to hang around when she is driving, having been arrested for crashing into a police car in Honolulu some years ago, totally drunk.

I have always considered the ukalay a child's toy not a serious instrument. Taimane has given it a legitimacy I never could have imagined. She is an incredibly talented musician with a wonderful gift.
