I thought that for some reason, your cannon shot out some sort of flak thing, but it took me a while to realize that they dash in front of it to attack you.

I know that this is an old comment, but something really cute about her is that, In "Crew's Log", It is shown that the Blastronaut has been fighting alien invaders for a long time and that they have nearly lost view of themselves. It is the Radio Lady's voice that reminds them of who they are. The Blastronaut sees her as a dear friend and waits for the day they'll be able to come home to see her again.
For me, this is one of those games where I think I did good, but I was either too fast (because I wanted to get this over with) or too slow (because I was going too fast)

When I first played rhythm heaven, I spent an hour on this game trying to get a superb. Shoot em up 2 was even harder to get superb. I then vet the perfects for them in less than 3 attempts
AgentMKJ511 superb is pretty strict in this one, but that set of six ones is almost the same as the sets of five right before that, so just do the exact same thing again with one more input.

By the way, I play this thing on emulator and I'm sure my Rhythm is less off than this guy. I kind of like it because of the fact that it's one of the only DS rhythm games that is actually easy...*

Shoot-em-up is about teaching you how to copy a full bar with no other prompt than your sense of timing, but I personally find the sound design to be very poor, and it causes the challenge of keeping the beat. Although I have no idea if it's by design. I find this very hard for an arbitrary reason.
