This song changed my life more than 2 decades ago and it is a testimony to the past, present and the future. It should be spread more throughout the world. It is truly a masterpiece.
yeah, I think it fits well with Cranberries "Zombie". Both songs should be known to anybody. And maybe ZSK "We will stop you" too, but that's a bit of another topic, but related.
Die Toten Hosen are one of the oldest, still active, german bands (they had their 40 years stage anniversary this year). Together with Rammstein, Die Ärzte, Böhse Onkelz they are the last legends out of the "old" rock/punk/metal era, all 4 around 40 years on stage (but you will recognize "Rammstein" is the only band from those 4, having a succesful international carreer, famous worldwide. I think the most succesful german band since "Scorpions").
Do you know that Die Toten Hosen are also famous in eastern europe and very famous in Argentina and Australia.
@@chrisorth7398 Well, having a few fan hot spots in a handful different countrys is not comparable to the worldwide fame level of bands nearly every person (which is into the genre) has heard of. Die Toten Hosen are not filling stadions or headline a festival (excluded the few german speaking/understanding countrys ger, austria, swizz) while bands like rammstein, scorpions (maybe not 2021, but in their "prime") can choose every location they want (from madison square garden, russian olympic stadions to the biggest festival halls in and around china) for their concerts while the tickets are sold out in recordtime.

Ein toller und auch trauriger Song. Die Toten Hosen gibt es seid fast 40 Jahren. Eine Punk/Rock Band. Bis heute wird diese Band in Deutschland geliebt. Sie kämpfen gegen Rassismus.
Als in den 80' und 90' Jahren keiner nach Argentinien (Falkland, no Money...) wollte. Sind die Toten Hosen trotzdem dorthin geflogen und haben Konzerte gespielt. Seitdem werden Sie dort geliebt. Ihr Song "Tage wie dieser" ist ein beliebter Party Song und ein " beliebter" Beerdigungs Song gleichzeitig. Sie spielen immer noch vor Hundert Tausend Menschen, oder ihren "Magical History " Touren. Sie geben dann bis 16 Konzerte Zuhause bei den Fans. Und die Band genießt das immer noch.

The song is old, but Germany knows what will happen if you seperate and divide the people. We had it we dont want it anymore anywhere at all..... Let our recent history be an example of how you should not do it and be a warning. Lets be friends especially lets not seperate by color of skin, religion or sexuality.. And lets argue but not fight if there needs to be a talk.

I love this track. I remember early 2000s I used to tell myself it would get better after watching this. It hasn't.
We need to understand we the people around the world have the same issues no matter what race or religion we are.
Not really, there are problems that shithole like the US have, that no civilised country has.
Like say, an openly, court proven racist party like the Republicans would be person non grata in civilised countries.
Or public education access or single payer healthcare, cheap life saving meds like insulin, gun control etc. All not even conversations in civilised countries.

I love Die Toten Hosen. I was blasting this song during covid on full volume...
Rieke Lax, a then 16 Year old girl suffocated in a mass panic at their 1000. concert (or so it was titled, nobody really knows if it was their 1000th concert.), it happened in 1997, in response to the tragedy and to her memory they wrote pushed again, it can be interpreted quite literally when thought of Rike, or in the hypothetical manner, the music video almost exclusively only shows the hypothetical meaning.
I don’t think that the owner of this channel understood ,,the message” of this video clip made by Die Toten Hosen…. So sad.
