Silver Line - To be filmed.
Finally, after a long wait and at the request of a number of individuals, I managed to head out to San Diego and film the entire Orange Line, starting from El Cajon and arriving into Downtown San Diego at the America Plaza station. Considering the success of my previous video of the 'San Diego Trolley Green Line', I decided to continue with another 'Entire Line Ride', this time with the Orange Line. The Orange Line primarily serves the eastern region of the urban San Diego area, serving the cities of El Cajon, Grossmont, Lemon Grove, Downtown, and other neighboring communities. This line does however run through one of the more impoverished regions of San Diego and it is apparent throughout the duration of this trip. In general however, the trolley still remains a very reliable and comfortable form of public transportation even considering the locale that this line runs through. As with my 'Green Line' video, I decided to film out the rear again as it would give me a full view of the tracks while also not bothering the trolley operator in any manner. The trolley I rode on during this particular trip comprised of a streetcar length Siemens S70 set.
Note : The Orange Line's terminus at the Santa Fe Depot was cut back to America Plaza at the beginning of June 2017 and further more cut back to the new Courthouse station (52:32) in April 2018. This is in anticipation to accommodate the future UC San Diego Blue Line’s Mid-Coast Trolley extension at the Santa Fe Depot and America Plaza stations.

That PCC trolley at 52:43 -- Time for another trip to San Diego after 25 years.
I love these types of videos. I miss San Diego
I did, too. That's why I moved back. One good video deserves another: ruclips.net/video/m9hklyQaYHc/видео.html
tabby314 Same here.
I used to live next to the 62nd St./Encanto Station!
Cool! Nice to see that you're sort of making these types of videos a regular thing
+Liam Saucedo Thanks ! Seems like people enjoy them so I just go off of peoples suggestions. What makes them happy makes me happy :)
Another well done ride, I believe you are coming up time to have your videos in the "Red Box". Good work, thanks
+Tweety Swauger Thank You ! Glad you enjoyed the video.
That trains sounds like Siemens P2000
Pure genius! Thank you for sharing
I rode the trolley in the early eighties.
Can you do an entire line ride of the blue line sometime soon? Or at least during summer 2021 when it’s north extension to UCSD is complete?
bdawg2755 Yep, it’s actually one of my next videos I plan on doing in the coming months. I also do plan on filming the UCSD extension as well.
Mid Coast extension of the UC San Diego blue line
Cool video
+Chicagojoe28 Thank you !
I have great news! I'm going to upload the coaster round trip ride this Wednesday in honor of my 100 subscribers:)

Are you still in San Diego to do the blue line?
+quadgamer Not at the current moment. I do have plans to film the Blue Line but it might be a couple months until I have time from work to head back out to San Diego.

Next time...Could you please add the stations?
Catelina Kennis The stations are listed in the description with time stamps listed accordingly. I will however certainly consider adding captions into future similar videos for the stations.
Cool video😎😎!!!!!
Estuardo Ruedas Thank you !
In the future, please include a shot that includes the number of the vehicle. In this case it should be a 4000 series vehicle.
Courthouse station 52:32 🚉
Is there a possibility to do the Blue Line?
Matt Magoon Yes indeed. It's in the works, although it might be a while until I have time to film the Blue Line. Most likely within a year though.
BrentNguyen46 awesome thanks!
Will you film the blue line when it’s extension north to UCSD is complete?
Yep. I’m planning on filming the existing Blue Line from San Ysidro to Downtown sometime soon and the UCSD extension shortly after it is completed and operational.
One time I was in sending I I was at santee and waiting for the orange line and it did not come and I went on the green line anyway and my mind was like. “Maybe I should go to grossmont and wait for orange line.” But I said nah
Can U do the silver line next?
Brandon likestrains I'm looking into it as it is one of my priorities. The Silver Line is rather short, so I will likely do it the next time I'm down in SD.
When could you do the blue and silver lines?
Amtrak's biggest fan I definitely have plans to film both the blue and silver lines, including the blue line to UCSD, although at the current moment I am focused on heavy rail railfanning. I just need the opportunity to head down to San Diego, where I will film it for sure. It’ll likely be within a year or so, guaranteed.
@@BrentNguyen46 Update 2021: The Blue Line extension to UCSD is almost done! Definitely wait to do your Blue Line entire line ride until it’s complete.
The Orange Line is definitely the armpit of the San Diego Trolley. Even as an avid rider of the system I avoid it at all cost.
Chow Chow they have newer trains on it now
I ride before a lot :))
Do blue line pls
Carlos Pyles It’s in the works. I’m looking into possibly trying to film it some time in the coming months; likely before the end of January of 2019.
Even though I Like Exploring Routes I Did the Milwaukee District North Line Round Trip the Complete Journey I also did Eurostar between London and Brussels
