John Deere and Rumley also did some thing similar with water injection. It's purpose was to one , take the pinging out of the kerosene. it also cools and increases compression giving it more power.
I am sure by now you know how your fuel system works,but I will explain it to the rest of the folks. the part that mounts to the lower part of the exhaust manifold and the tube that coils inside the exhaust manifold is called the fuel mixing bowl. 3:11. the other part you call a carburetor actually a vaporizer as it sucks in Kerosene that has gone through the coiled tube in the exhaust manifold . The tractor is started on gasoline from the 1/2 cast iron tank mounted to the water air filter tank. then the are valves on fuel mixer and Vaporizer to switch fuel from Gasoline to Kerosene. thus the two different air tubes from the air filter tank . only one is used at a time.
