- While it is widely believed that Steve Irwin’s remains are buried on the grounds of Australia Zoo, Terri Irwin made it clear at the time that when it comes to his final resting place, “there’s just a handful of people that will ever know”.

His grave is probably hidden away in his favorite stretch of nature. I’m sure that’s probably what he wanted…
It just makes Steve’s legacy that much larger. A true legend.

The Irwins still voluntarily share a lot about him, stuff they don’t have to, like private family pics. A good compromise for people who want to pay their respects is at the family statue or handprints in Zoo. But it’s also good for the fans to respect their privacy, space + boundaries.
I don't like to think about where he's buried. Because we don't pay our respects to Steve by going to a gravesite, we pay our respects to him by continuing on his legacy.

I don't believe that no matter how big of a public figure you become that everything about you should become public knowledge. It is private until they or their family decides to make it public. You should respect his and their wish and not speculate on where he is buried. I can hope they have left a place for the public to pay their respects to this great man. I have not been able to travel to Australia with my kids but if I ever do the Australia Zoo is first on the list. My daughter is 10 and she knows who Steve Irwin is. My son has autism and knows who Steve Irwin is. Such a great man who did so much for conservation and bringing so much of the natural world into our lives and leaving such a legacy that his children and wife continue to make a mark all over the world, his final wish should be respected. Allow him his privacy and his rest.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a tree or something was planted on his grave in the zoo to always be with and and also be reborn(into the tree so to speak) inside the zoo too. Atleast that’s what I’d want lol

Im sure its in the zoo somewhere. Thats been the longstanding theory. Knowing how he was, if there were animals buried in the park, his dogs etc, thats probably the best bet.

The fans don’t need to know where Steve is buried bc it's none of our business + not our place to interfere with it. Esp bc there’s a compromise of various places that people can pay their respects, like at the family statue in the Zoo. Let Steve rest in peace. He gave so much, and the Irwins share a lot regarding him, such as personal family stories. The family + Steve have a right to boundaries + privacy, even in death.
Ler rhe family have this yes he was a beloved icon but he spent his whole life teaching all of us about animals and to respect them its the least we can do to let the man and his family temain in peace about this

I miss Steve Irwin, he was such a big part of my childhood. I loved that cheesy movie he made.
Steve Irwin is the person’s who’s legacy lives on within all of us, especially the people who really admire his work & look up to him. I wish he was still around, I’m only glad he died doing what he loved. He knew the dangers of everything & he knew it wasn’t going to be a snake bite or a croc, cause those are the things he learned how to control. Although the ocean is just a different world.

No, he died from a stingray attack. Allegedly, the stingray saw his silhouette and thought it was a tiger shark so it attacked him numerous times.
