THANK YOU!! Very useful information! It solved many issues that had been concerning me lately. I am trying to recrystallize absolute oils but have been very unsure about how much of the solvent is needed. I always had an intuition that one could recrystallize right out of the original solvent! VERY COOL! The way you emphasized 'Using the minimal amount of solvent' really helped to open the door in my head! I believe i understand now! Thanks again.
This is cool! I didn't go to whatever school this is but does anyone know anything about her? This was concise and I'm wondering if she's still teaching.
she has been teaching since this video, but sadly recently passed away. Dr. Nerz was a beloved professor at my school; we still uses her videos today for o-chem lab instruction.
Hi ma'am i would ask if the monograf said "recrystallize from 70% alcohol, dry for 105°c for 1 hour", should i wait untill the crystall are form for few minute or i should put the sample to oven directly after i add-on the 70% alcohol?
hello, i use diluted alum on my feet to stop odur, but the spray bottle returns with crystal of alum. How shall i stop the diluted alum from recrystalizing. please suggest
I wish I had her as my Ochem lab instructor, she talks very clearly, and just a smart person overall. I really like her just from this video.

This video is incredibly helpful and instructional, thanks for sharing!
This is great. This may just save me when I go to repeat my botched experiment today
