idk why every time i picture me having a flat tire, I always picture myself in the freeway, so when she said to put the brick in front of the tire, i was like uh ok yea since i have bricks in car all the time. lol good vid.
First of all.. The jack rise while rotating clockwise and lowers when counter clockwise. Nuts can be removed in any order but use the star pattern when putting it back. Lastly, never put your hands on the top and the bottom of the tire..
Really well done video.. Yep it's ALWAYS good to know how to do something, just innncase.. true true... and if you want and got the cash ya, just be one of those AAA esp if you are already covered right.. but ya its empowering to do yourself too peoplez! depends on your mood/situation, we all want less stress, and hassle.. and hey the less safety concerns the better! good tips..
Using that kind of jack looks easy but when you have lifted the car a few inches then it gets harder and harder to turn the handle. I have done it and it was hard but I did it. thanks.
The lady appeared to lift the tyre onto the car effortlessly. I have to admit, I found that type of wheel hard to change, having to balance the tyre on a lip. I much prefer the Ford ones that have four prongs sticking out, so you can balance the tyre on the prongs.
i have a serious question. When changing all the tires or wheels for winter, does it have it to be balanced or anything like that? what i am asking is, does it have to be done by a profesional?
ok now that we are done with ideal conditions lets go to some problems with replacing a flat tire. some mechanics really crank down on these lug nuts so you may need to put all your weight of the lug wrench. heck i practically needed to jump on the wrench to remove the lug nuts. now comes to removing the tire which may be rusted on to the rim. no you just can't yank it off, you need to get a wd40 or a rust remover spray than you will need big hammer or sledge hammer to make the tire come off. now you remove the tire and put-on the temporary tire making sure it has the proper air pressure which is usually 60 lbs. an air compressor really helps if it flat or has less air. there now have fun replacing your flat tire.
Just place the lug nut wrench over the nut so the handle is positioned horizontally... then step/stand on the end of the wrench to loosen it with ur body weight !! Do this in reverse to tighten them. Listen for a double screech to indicate that it is securely tightened !!
Thank you. Am at fire stone tire. They ssud they woll tske 2 hours. Waiting list lol. Then i did along withing 10 min thank sweet heart. Iam a women. Can do anything if you out mind.
Make sure the emergency break is on if your in like bill type shaped road if not the car will fall and fuck up your wheel alignment I learned from my mistake😅

Wow she is implying that women may have a disadvantage in changing their tire. Like she's trying to be inclusive, but by calling out the stereotype, she accomplishes the opposite.
Giselle, even though you get some strong women, and some weak men ( like my good self 😉) in general men are stronger than women. There's nothing wrong in pointing that out. I think the young lady made it look really easy, a lot easier than I find changing a tyre. so I'm guessing she must have had a lot of experience doing it?
"if it lowers the car or doesn't move, try turning the jack the other way" fuck you i want to do it this way. Written on my iphone 8 Nepperhan Avenue south, 11:45 PM Current Temperature: 22
There is no reason to lower the jack just until the tire touches the ground. Once you start lowering it, you should lower it all the way and remove it. While the car is still raised tighten all the lug nuts snug but not fully tight. If you were to try and fully tighten them you could push the car off the jack instead. Once the nuts are snug lower the jack fully, and remove it. Then you can tighten the lug nuts fully. It is easier to tighten them fully if the car is completely lowered, and the tire is firmly pressed against the ground, than if the car is lowered only until the tire is just touching the ground. With the tire just touching, instead of tightening the lug nuts, you may end up spinning the wheel. I have no idea where this idea to lower the car partially came from. It makes no sense whatsoever. It is important to get the lug nuts fully tight. Otherwise your wheel may come off the hub after you start driving - soon after you start driving, or some miles down the road. How tight is fully tight? How is a gal to know if the nut is tight enough or not? Best way to get them tightened fully is to use a torque wrench to tighten them to factory specs. Without a torque wrench you can rely a feel for how tight they should be, which you have gained from experience, or you can get a fair estimate of the correct tightness by using the following method: Get the factory spec. It will be in your owners manual. Say for example it is 80 foot pounds. 80 foot pounds is a force of 80 pounds at the point on a wrench handle 1 foot from the rotational axis of the lug nut. Or 40 pounds at 2 feet. Or 120 pounds at 2/3 of a foot (8 inches). If you weigh 120 pounds you can kind of "stand" on the wrench handle at 8 inches from the nut. When putting the wheel onto the hub make sure there is no soil or sand between the wheel and the wheel hub. Or else the wheel may wobble when you roll. To make torquing the nuts easiest, and most accurate, make sure there is no soil or sand on the lug nut threads, on the stud threads, or on the contact surfaces where the nut contacts the wheel.

Well, I have never changed a tire before. Looks easy enough. Great video!
The only "Bad" thing is it happens only at nite or in a location like the "Walking Dead" (Yikes).
I would change your tire any day ;)
Putting the inflated tire in place is difficult for us as the inflated tire is heavy. For mechanics it's like doing nothing .
"A flat foot is even worse than a flat tire."
Truer words has never been said.
Best tutorial I've seen!
This video was very helpful. It had been a long time since I changed a tire.
Thank you I used this as a refresher for my mom. It's less intimidating when it's another female :)
Intimidating? Male voice too scary 🤣 Also, this is changing a wheel, not a tyre..

This video is good example of a refresher course. Sometimes, other makes of vehicles uses a different type of jack. But the procedure is the same.,👍
Thanks, Saab! I wish you still existed!

I love how she does it herself and doesn't have some poor guy crawling on the ground while she patronizingly tutors from the side.
Yeah, it's sad. SAAB's were weird, but they were brilliant! I drove a 9000 once, and it was awesome! I'll miss Saab

Yeah they make it look easy but it's not because if u dnt have enough muscle to loosen the lug nuts then ur screwed lol
Just stand or stomp on the wrench if you can't get them off by hand.

Just one problem. If your wheel nuts have been tightened by a tyre fitter using a power tool they be on so tight you'll never get them off. Good luck.
If the nuts were as loose as in this video then don't worry about changing the tyre. You are already dead.
