It is nice that you split up your categories that are under control from the ones that need work. Really helps put the entire collection into perspective. I'm with you, I really want to finish all the things in my collection because I don't like to waste things.
Right! Although, I'm such a slow panner I'm sure it won't happen before they got bad but that won't stop me from trying lol

My collection is very much like yours. I have all my base items under decent control. Blush, bronzer, and highlight could use some work, but it's nothing I can't foresee myself spending the rest of my life working on! Like if I buckled down and managed 1 per year for each, I'd be happy with it in just a few years.
Eyeshadow and lipstick are a whole other ballgame. Those are my trouble areas and even after so much decluttering I still feel like I'll be passing stuff on to my kids. Like you, my glosses are well under control, but other lip products are a bit too much and if I did a collection like this, I'd be wiped after that category. Palettes would need their own video. 😂 I'm proud of myself for how much i have decluttered but I know I have a ways to go. I do a PTP every year and this year, I'm doing 3. One to finish, the other two to hit a lot of pans. I want to have as many obviously well loved palettes as you have!

I'm so glad too see I'm not the only one with all of those Naked palettes! Lol My Naked Basics 1 and 2 got sticky too. I took cotton balls and rubbing alcohol and removed that film and now they are nice and smooth!

In some ways we have similar numbers but in others not so much. I have way more indie single shadows and bullet lipsticks and honestly no shame but it's something I need to work on. I also want to use things up rather than declutter unless it really doesn't work for me. I would love to see you pan that bite lipstick - the formula of those is stunning and it's not too difficult to pan. So curious what you want to pan for next year and thanks for sharing your stash with us.
Love it! I wish I could get some indie shadows and if I wasn't on my no-buy I would have delved into them! Bullet lipsticks too! there's just something about them, so pretty!
Yes! I've panned a few bite lipsticks through the years but yeah, I love that formula and need to get to that last one before it goes bad! It's such a pretty color too!

You've got great Numbers, I always think as long as your happy that's what matters. My collection is crazy but I don't mind, however next year will be a learning what I own year for me, no buying every release.

I would love to see you pan your single magnetic shadows. How large/ small do you think would you like your eyeshadow collection to be to be "under control"?
I have this container too, I would be interested to see how you sort your stuff in there. My collection fits for the most part completely in there, exept for foundation and powder backups and some other bits and bobs, where I only use one at a time. But I stuffed it really snug, and always have to play tetris with my eyeshadows so that everything fits. When I got it first, I thought it was way too big and one year later it was full to the top, bad year for makeup hoarding. But I am better and the limitation shows that I dont want to have so much that it cant all fit anymore (which it kind of already doesnt but I have to "just" use up those backups)
Yes! That's a dream of mine to pan those single shadows! I usually try to incorporate one or two shadows in a look that I'm panning to get some use out of them but I think I'm a ways away from actually doing a full blown project with them.
Right now, the only products I have in the container are the back ups from my "under-control" categories, my single shadows, colored face products, and the smaller eyeshadow palettes i.e. Naked Basics, etc. I keep my bigger eyeshadow palettes in my closet and all of the lip products separate. And then all of the products that I use on the daily (AKA the products I'm project panning) I keep out in a tray for easy access.
I think what would make me happy for eyeshadows is if I had maybe 2-3 12 pan eyeshadow palettes maybe a couple of singles. So I really think under 50 shadows, maybe more like 30-40 would be a sweet spot for me. That's really the amount I usually have out for my daily usage.
Oh wow, thanks for that thorough answer. Yes bigger palettes are such a drag to store. I love my variety too much and my singles, but I just know I am definitely overwhelmed with my currend amount of eyeshadows. I dont know at what number I would like them to be but "one of each sort" and no duble up shades would be a great start. And then I would find out that you can mix shades and dont even need one of each colour hue. xD
I had 2 old Laura Gellar baked blushes and I had to toss them. I think I bought them around 2016 😅. I loved them and purchased way too many. I tried to pan them this year and they'd look great first thing in the morning but by the end of the day it looked brown like I'd used bronzer. Brown cheeks wasnt vsry attractive 😂😂😂
