    Beware: incorrect plotting!!! The author explains a plotting algorithm that is of Lambert cylindrical equal-area projection! The way he shows it, meridian lines (horizontal) should appear closer to each other towards the poles. However, after the second line is drawn, all other meridian lines "MAGICALLY" appear increasingly spaced out towards the poles.

      You are watching commenting on Mercator's projection in which the gap between latitudes increases towards poles as has been drawn in this projection. You are talking about Cylindrical equal area projection in which the gap between Latitudes decreases towards poles. Watch that video also then comment.
