I chanced upon this last night on the show - I never heard of this dude before but I was genuinely blown away - it's fantastic song and what a genius performer - the band are also bang on the music - awesome... This is right up my street - Love it...
I first heard him on Phil Alexander's show on planet rock, saw him at the ritz in Manchester in January and a brilliant gig it was, check out his last 2 solo records
Hey Patrick: Isbell's latest album, Something More Than Free is a great album. It's predecessor, Southeastern may be even better. Both are warmly recommended.
Proof - and we badly need it! - that real talent is still out there. Only recently discovered this man's music. Great thoughtful lyrics that avoid cliche and he's a great writer of tunes too.
My daughter informed me we had seen Jason supporting Ryan Adams and talked me into going to see him, now have tickets to see him for the 5th time with her. This man is a genius, never writes a bad song and truly deserves a wider audience to appreciate his genius.
+davecurrie99 : was also at the 02 gig and was a brilliant night. He is playing the Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh down at the Grassmarket. Saw him there before doing an acoustic set with Amanda Shires and was superb. Tickets on sale now.suggest you get them early as small venue.
I really love this, best new (to me) tune I've heard in a good while. Band look/sound great, really nice rapport between the lead and the fiddle-player, drummer has a brilliant face, and Jason has a real presence about him
I feel like they kind of tone down the songs when Amanda Shires is performing with them, just so they don't drown her out. It's a much softer sound to what I seen in Amsterdam in January but still pretty damn good.
I remember watching this on Holland, drunk as a skunk, but this song stuck in my head. Top class
Jordy H drunk as a skunk reet now

Outstanding performance. This is what professionals sound like.
Wonderful band.

Just loving this. Have seen Jason a few times now and always a great gig. Roll on August when he comes back to Scotland.
+DavidTransformer hello, where is Jason playing in Scotland in August? Was at the O2 gig earlier this year - truly awesome!

They're married, so that may help :)
We hope Jason will be back in the UK soon. Sadly missed his last (delayed) shows.
Wow. 👍🏼
