Forgot how many things happened this episode. They finaled this finale.
I always laugh at how Varys was like "Nope" once the bells rang and just sat with the box.
And that wraps up season 4! I just want to say RIP to one of THE BEST characters in the show, Tywin Lannister. He was a horrible fucking person, but the character was fascinating. He's been the top dawg since season 1. I'm glad Tyrion finally got his get back, too. And he died disappointed, knowing about Cersi and Jaime.
That fight scene between Brienne and the Hound is probably my favorite fight scene in the whole series. They were fighting dirty as hell lol. RIP Hound. You were a real one!
Can't wait for you guys to get into season 5. You're closing in on the last few seasons!!!

Arya is not going to the wall though. Like the captain said, they are going to the free city of Braavos. A sort of independent place, you will se and its where Jacquen Hagar told her to go, if she one day wanted help. That's the reason she was given the iron coin. Valar Morghulis.
Nah. Arya heard Braavos and remembered her homeboy said to hit him up if she ever fell through. And gave her the VIP coin.

Don't forget that the Hound killed Arya's best friend, way back in Season 1. Arya was ready to be at least frenemies with the Hound until he attacked that farmer and stole his money. She hated him again after that. He's not a true villain like Joffrey or Ramsay, but he ain't a good guy either

Braavos and the other free cities are southeast of where Arya was. She wanted to go North but the ship’s captain said they are going in the opposite direction, they were sailing to his home (Braavos). Jaqen H'ghar (the assassin who gave her the iron Braavosi coin) told her to go there to find him.

The name of the episode, The Children, perfectly fits almost every scene in this episode. Jamie and Cersei, the children of Tywin. The Children Of The Forest, Daenerys' dragons which she considers her children, Tyrion offing Tywin who is his father, etc. AND this episode originally aired on father's day. Lol.
I think Shae was in survival mode. She got clocked at the wedding rehearsal, and Tywin said to have her brought to his chambers.
Arya isn't going north she's going to Bravos.
You guys should watch the history and lore videos. They explain all of the backstory and magical stuff.
I've been trying to convince them to watch the History and Lore before going forward. They have missed so many important words and meanings and will be very confused, especially with Bran, and Jon. They were made for us to follow the story with a deep dive knowlege of the characters and why they do the things they do.

They said they tried watching them, but it was too nitty gritty for them to be enjoyable as a reaction. So i think they just wrote it off entirely
The hound is a fascinating character..... heck every single character in this story is amazing. What an epic series. so many lives, stories, intrigues, tragedies, and true nobility growing and showing in even the lowest of castes. But holy cow, Tryion ....... awesome character, Dinklage rocked that role masterfully. Fun watching again with ya. Cheers.

Just a reminder - the Hound wasn't at full health. He had an infected wound and Arya mentioned he was moving slower than he used to. Would love to see a rematch with both at full health.

Minor spoilers for the books
When Jamie bails Tyrion out in the books, he confesses that Tyrion’s wife Tysha was not a “lady of the evening” like they said. Tyrion was actually married and Tywin and Jamie lied. Which, Tyrion is pretty mad about. I really wish they hadn’t cut that from the show.
I don’t think I would like that plot point. It adds unnecessary twists and layers that just convolute the established relationships between Tyrion and his family.
@@oXRaptorzXothe point is that Tyrion is now furious with Jamie, who was the only person he trusted. So I feel like it simplifies why he’s going to Essos and why he’d join Dany. Otherwise why help her if he still loved Jamie? Jamie killed Dany’s father. He’ll certainly be executed if she wins. It’s also the reason he made the last minute choice to confront Tywin. As much as he hated his father, he probably wouldn’t have done that otherwise because of the Westerosi taboo and superstition about “kin slaying.” I wouldn’t mind them cutting it, if not for the fact that they really don’t know what to do with him after this, because his motives are so completely at odds with what he’s doing.
@@TheAbominableDrFaustus fair enough but I think his motives are quite clear. Bear in mind I’m only a ways into season 5, so maybe im missing something. Also I think it’s nice how Jamie is the one to break out tyrion

Brienne of Fucking Tarth vs. The Hound is still my all time favorite 1 on 1 fight in the whole series. Theres others that are PHENOMENAL (that i wont say for spoiler reasons) but this one just has it all for me. Swordfighting and fistfighting to the death on top of a mountain between 2 fan favorite characters is *chefs kiss* AWESOME 😂 bravo to Gwen Christie and Rory McCann

Stannis just came from the iron bank in bravos and went to the wall straight after. Arya is headed to the place her water dancer instructor was from. Bravos has alot going on over there.

Shae did not willingly betray Tyrion. She was captured by Tywin's men or the Gold Cloaks after Bronn set her onto the ship for Pentos. Shae was brought to the Tower of the Hand (per the conversation with Cercei at the Wedding Breakfast) and made to submit. Tywin made a deal with Shae - in return for her life (and submission as his sexual partner) she would testify against Tyrion. The irony of her death is that she was strangled by the very chains Tyrion had given her as a gift (they were packed in her bags by Tyrion when he made her leave).
Epic season ending...also a nice bookend to episode one when The Hound and Arya fought the rogue Lannister men at the Inn.

You haven't watched the History and Lore movies yet! There so much more you'll see after you watch them. There's no editing involved - you can just watch and record it. You won't regret it.
Such a good episode. But I would have been good with a whole tv series of just the Hound and Arya wandering and getting into trouble. It ended too soon.

The only chick in the whole military encampment? and as Tyrion tells us of his first wife her reaction is to seduce him .. suddenly his ride or die no questions asked. always returning and somehow always put in positions of proximity to tyrion never suspected to be his woman....
