Do the Try Guys know that they struck gold so fucking hard TWICE by having Miles and Rainie in their company???????
Well they struck gold with almost everyone
@@tofuteh2348 Heavy on almost
@@GSP96 well im just way past bringing that up in every comment relating to that topic already XD
Honestly, it's just the best dynamic.
Keith and Zach are a perfect duo, and Miles with his shenanigans always adds some extra **spice** 😂 And now we are blessed with RAINIE?! She's perfect. It all works so well. I love it. 👌
I hope when Miles comes back he puts "Official dad of the try guys" in all his bios... for no particular reason
The best part of the podcast was the review section of June and Poppy's etsy shop
agree
100%I would be down for more episodes where they review their artwork lol and for anybody who is confused June and Poppy are Rachel’s kids
agreed
I'm a huge Holst fan, and I love that Keith was singing along but JUST the french horn parts. That's amazing.
10/10 😅❤❤❤
As a former horn player, I second this. Lol.
Rainie really has such a natural talent for asking interesting questions about almost anything.
When Zach said, "…the year is 2023…" I was like, whoa that’s so far away in the future …….. 😐
I’m having a hard time accepting that too lol
😅same
Zach calling Keith a silly little bitch was for some reason the funniest thing he’s ever said 💀
"Their customer service is AWFUL" had me belly laughing 🤣🤣🤣
the june and poppy bit has me rolling
It’s so sweet that Keith is actually wearing the bracelet 🥹
I find it so sweet/cute that Keith’s brother buys Zach gifts that is so nice.
Rainie's 'have a good ass week :)' was so adorable
was gonna post this tooooooo!!
i was literally just about to comment this! lol she is the sweetest
Omg Keith’s bracelet from the twins🥹🥰🥰
The whole conversation about June and Poppy is so precious 😭💖
I love that Rainie and Miles both say “silly little goose” I can imagine them laughing sm about saying that to eachother when they’re hanging out at work😂 love their lil friendship 💚
She copies so much of miles. Even her gasps.
That was Zach that said that though.
Okay Alex
The etymology of "jaywalking" is really interesting actually! It was basically a propoganda campaign to prop up vehicles over pedestrians during the industrial revolution by branding pedestrians crossing the street as "jays" which was a derogatory slang word basically meaning "idiot" or "unsophisticated"
Wasn't "jay" also racist? Or am I mixing it up with ...all the other historical slurs?
Love how Rainee’s segment just turned into her teaching them Gen z stuff again
The June and Poppy bit had me CACKLING
Oh the gift segment made me giggle.. My best friend came over around Thanksgiving and he gave me a gift that he saw in IKEA and "thought of me".. I opened this bag and inside is a giant wooden arm and hand that's apparently supposed to hold a phone.. It's both the coolest and most disturbing thing I've ever seen and that's why we are besties.. LOL
As someone who has gone through a lot of close personal loss early on on my life, the segment about grief at the end hit hard. Zach's so right, it's important to be there for the person without making them, the grieving, feel like they have responsibility for comforting you, the outsider. If I had the choice, I would never hear the words "I'm sorry for your loss" ever again. He's also right that it's usually people who have never majorly grieved who are the most notorious
I think a good rule of thumb for pointing things out to people is, only point it out if they can fix it in the next 5 mins. If you point out an old stain on their shirt for example, they’re going to be self conscious about it the rest of the evening vs something in their teeth can be quickly removed.
Agree. In highschool I did art, so all my shirts had a couple miniscule bits of paint splatter that never came out in the wash (but I'm not going to throw away a perfectly good shirt) and people would always come up and point out a little bit of paint on my shoulder or collar, and it's like what am I supposed to do? Just waste money buying more clothes that'll get paint on them too?
Keith: oh yeah I don't have as much Star Trek knowledge as other sci-fi
Also Keith: Sings the opening TNG theme music perfectly a moment later
As an opera director, I'm always cornering people at parties to tell them about Holst and Korngold's effects on the movies. This was very good.
My gas company mails us a Scratch-and-Sniff pamphlet that smells like gas so you know for sure. Everyone should do that.
Buffalo, NYer here. We were legit trapped in our house for a few days, but I work at a doggy daycare, and we had two employees trapped there with the dogs for 3 days. It was worse than the blizzard of 77, and 911 was down for a few days. It was a really scary time
I’m from Tonawanda, all my family is still up in the area. My brother in Cheektowaga sent me a video of that very first night, the winds were so scary looking. My dad lived through the Blizzard of ‘77, he def agrees that this one was worse (especially in terms of wind) I’m glad you all are safe
Hey fellow buffalonians! Truly was a scary time. I’m glad my friends and family were safe but knew people who didn’t have power or heat for days and had to charge their phones in their cars. We barely had food in the house because we didn’t want to be a part of the group that went panic buying but we probably should have lol glad you all are safe though! I can’t imagine being trapped anywhere aside from home during this crazy blizzard.
Hey buffalo here too!!
I'm in Fort Erie, across the border! I asked my mom how this blizzard was comparable to the blizzard of 77. It was crazy! Definitely something wild to be a part of and a Christmas to remember with my daughter
For Trypod fans who also have small kids, I know you instantly recognized 'Jupiter' as the song from Bluey where Bingo dreams about being in space ❤️
Aww the June and Poppy braclet 🥺
When i realized june & poppy are just rachels daughters 💀 took me tf out.
Omg 😂
Here early just to tell Zach he looks better than ever🔥🔥🔥🔥
Keith its funnier lately if that’s even possible! 😂
And I know this year it gonna be AWESOME for the Try Guys 💖💖💖
Loser🤣
I feel like everybody is more comfortable and free-er now!! I noticed this too!! They’re all flourishing nicely and I love it!❤
Love how the TryPod is randomly musical 🎼 🎶 😍🤩👍
Love the talk in the beginning about creativity. The best suggestion I can give to people about how to foster more creativity (and consistency in creativity) is two things: 1. Keep idea books/sketchbooks close. I have small notebooks in every room of my house, one in my car, one in my bag, etc., so that when I do have an idea, I hear a name I like, I have a wayward line, a plot, etc., I write it down. Quality comes from digging through quantity. The second is, be consistent with the practice of your "thing". If you are a writer, painter, musician, whatever, sit down for a set number of minutes every day (or on a schedule: x number of days a week), and produce SOMETHING. You'd be surprised what you can create when your brain becomes accustomed to that. ((Source: published author!))
As an etymology nerd, the term "jaywalking" came about 100 years ago in New York City when you could easily spot a country bumpkin because they didn't know you needed to cross the street at specific places and at specific times, not just all willy nilly like you can in small towns. People inexperienced in the ways of the big city were called jays because they stood out like a blue jay.
There also used to be jay-drivers, similar thing but when people didn't know what side of the road to drive on. That was more of a smaller town problem though.
Thoughts for a rainy (rainie) day is such a cute segment name! Miles would be proud!
As someone who doesn't use Instagram for any promotion or follower collecting, just for my friends and family, I LOVE a bunch of grid photos. I don't wanna lose all my photos, I want to look through my friend's photos, I don't wanna look at 800 ads on the timeline and one REALLY good selfie of someone. Stories go away and you can't even go back to them. I hope grid photos come back this year.
The rant about June and Poppy was great
Rainies "Have a good ass week" hits different 😆❤
I’m so disappointed Zack didn’t say “Brian are you trolling us?” when the cards were only places 😄
I love the banter all four of you have. Rainie and Miles are such fun moderators😄
I keep jumping spiders and velvet spiders as pets. And I love them. I had one in my indoor plants in December 2019. And that's how it started. She was so cute and fluffy.
It's literally a love language, I feel so much joy when I see something someone in my life would like and think “I'm gonna buy it for them, they'll love it”, even more than when I'm the one receiving it
Here's to a controversy free 2023!
I love when Keith goes band geek on us! I’m in my corner screaming “Mars” as the most recognized lol. We some how convinced my band instructor to play it our senior year and let me tell you, that piece of music is VERY challenging. But man does it make you feel powerful!
the june and poppy bit is my favorite bit ever
Keith wearing the bracelet warms my heart
As a gift giver ..... I keep an Amazon list all year labeled Christmas for others and at the end of the year I pick the best gifts from the list for my friends and extended family
As an orchestra kid, we definitely played an abridged version of Jupiter at strings camp I went to.😂 ‘Tis truly everywhere.
The sewage smell happens sometimes when you don’t use the plumbing in the room for ahwhile too 😅 we had a spare bathroom that NEVER got used and apparently air gets in there and it stinks. We had to start running the faucet and flushing the toilet randomly so…. Use your guest bathrooms!
It’s very comforting to me listening to these pods ❤thank you so much 🙏 love from Egypt
Happy New Year y'all!! First podcast of 2023!! 💚💙💜🧡🎉
The salon I went to growing up shared their building w a flower shop. It was great! AND the flower shop had cats
I'm sorry people didn't buy the totally normal business human :( I love my lil dude. I mean he's definitely sentient and moving around my house of his own accord and I AM concerned for my safety, but I still love him
I loved what Zach said about talking to someone dealing with grief. I lost my wife of 30 yrs in February 2020. Dealing with peoples reaction to hearing the news was worse than losing her. Especially because we had a difficult relationship. When you act grief stricken you are making about you not the person grieving. Be sad on your own time.
The chorale from Jupiter always gets me to tears 😮💨
the planets convo made me so happy ahhh
That blizzard was so bad just before Christmas!! We’re in Canada and our snowblower froze and part of it broke during the storm ❄️ ❄️
re presents: by far the best gift-receiving experience of my life was on my 29th birthday. my then 2 year old niece was very excited because she picked out my present. she walks over, dressed as a butterfly, and hands me a gift bag. i open it. inside, is a large broccoli. i laughed so hard i very nearly peed my pants. i think my sister (niece's mom) actually did pee her pants. while we're all laughing, my niece then takes the broccoli out of my hands and starts eating the buds off.
i returned the favor six months later when my niece turned three: i gifted her a large broccoli and a few big carrots, which she thoroughly enjoyed. kids are great.
We once gave a friends kid a 5kg bag of potatoes because they're the kids favourite
......apparently they carried it around for days before turning all of it into mashed potatoes 🥔 😆
I asked my nephew what he wanted for his third birthday, he said strawberry chocolate, so I made him chocolate-covered strawberries. Possibly the easiest gift I've ever given 😂
More of Keith talking about classical- warmed my heart!
That was great sci-fi esc sound from Keith at the end
I got to play Jupiter in Jr. High in the orchestra, and it was my first very favorite piece
Holst also wrote “In the Bleak Midwinter”!
Thanks for that note on friendship Rainy. I needed to hear that, even if I already knew it.
Manifesting for 2023, having Lewberger or even Wayne Brady to guest and have a discussion on comedy/improv comedy
I’m so glad someone finally understands the little big spiders thing 😭
i am a gift-giver, and i assure you (at least in my experience) i don’t need a gift in return! like how i express my love for people is giving them little gifts sprinkled throughout the year like a crow, but the way i like receiving love is different. (like for me it’s quality time)
Yo! That intro song tho really crisp 😂
love to see appreciation for the planets suite!!!
Yaaasssss the epic film score discussion at the beginning!! Holst is badass!!
WOOOOOO CONTENT MACHINE KEEPS CHUGGIN
I did not think I was going to blasted by the nostalgia of being a horn player in the Planets suite. SO HYPED.
Officially nominating Easy A for the next Tucci month on guilty pleasures. The shade here. 😮
I don't think the shade was for the movie. It was the fact that they were talking about epic scores in movies and TV, and then she started about the Easy A soundtrack as if it is the same thing. That would be a fun movie for Guilty Pleasures, though.
I was just joking but the soundtrack isn’t half bad either
@@Elithoma91 Oh for sure. I love the soundtrack.
I love Jupiter!!! We got to play it in the Anchorage Youth Symphony, such a wonderful piece ❤
Keith makes my music major heart happy and seen 🥰
Starting the year off by making a strong Holst reference. This is how I know I’m in the right place. Jupiter is my favorite movement ❤
them just joke roasting Rachel's children 😂
Crazy to think about not being able to bike everywhere. I used to bike everyday to school and my parents didn't even own a car. Love living in the Netherlands, except when it rains or snows.
The Netherlands and bikes are like a whole other level. I don't know what's beyond the contrast of night and day, but America compared to the Netherlands is that. I loved it there.
Happy New Year everyone
Omggg thank you so much. I played Jupiter in high school band and loved it, but couldn't remember the composer
I got the Jay Bird for Christmas!!! It was one of my favorites 💜🥰
My favorite thing about Mike White is that he was on Survivor just for fun. He’s so funny on it lol
Yes!!! I remember watching him on Survivor and totally enjoying it.
Love the podcast. The Jupiter song sounds like "I vow to thee" hymn.
love ye all
Mike White was also on Survivor. That man has done everything
My praying mantis is such a cool little guy. I've got a plant on my desk that he hangs out on while I work. 10/10 purchase.
Rainie is such a delight 😊
Dying at the June and poppy jokes
As an Angeleno, I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR THE 'JAYWALKING' news!!!
I had to go listen to the entirety of the planets before coming back
Lol @ keith trying to make the troll cards an investment
YEAH! Try Guys! New year same guys!
Rainie's "have a good ass week" is so cute wtf 😭1:06:22
Played Jupiter in my senior year of high school. Continues to bring tears to my eyes - memories of how grand it felt in my chest when we all played our best 😭😭😭
In 1917, jay was a common slang word for hick, or, more kindly, a person inexperienced in the ways of the big city. Consequently, a jaywalker was somebody who was clueless about those newfangled traffic signals telling people when they could and couldn't walk. (Source: Farmer's Almanac)
Well done, Rainie! 🎉🥳 nice Episode 👍🏼
Edit: loooooove Matilda the Musical on Netflix, will surely watch the next Guilty Pleasure episode 🫶🏻
Amen on the "all NY airports are trash" sentiment! I live in a relatively small upstate town, but we have a number of colleges nearby so there's enough comings and going for the town to have it's own airport. There's only 1 terminal and only 2 gates. Literally like 3 or 4 flights out per day and that's it. And yet! I always have to wait like half an hour after getting off a plane for the bags to get to baggage claim. And I have missed flights from there because the check in lady wouldn't let me check in less then half an hour before my flight. But like the security is like a sport stadium security, I can see what's on the other side. I could see my gate through security from the check-in desk. Why would I need to arrive more than half an hour before my flight. It takes ten minutes to get through security and to my gate! You're only managing 4 flights a day, how are you screwing up so much!
Can we get a little update video of the twins? Or Eugene babysitting them now that they're older?
i wonder if they ever like watch these back like how u scroll through ur texts w ur friends occasionally yk
I'm ashamed to say that I didn't knew about Holst before Bluey episode "Sleepytime". I wanted to see where the music came from and found "The Planets"; now is one of my favorite playlists on Spotify.
Every high school band played Jupiter and Mars 😂
I love knowing Keith drives like I do, with documentaries on and avoiding looking at the screen. 😬😅😂
10/10 intro
As a tarantumom, bugs as pets is in. And yes, they absolutely have their own personalities.
I got a Jay as a Christmas gift! He’s hanging out on my bookshelf.
