Many homesteaders move the chickens after they go into the tractor at night or first thing in the morning before letting the chickens out. This may not work with your,schedule, but they say it’s easier than chasing chickens into the new area.
So if you had a coop you just moved around with some sheep. How far would they go from the coop during the day and would they all come back to the coop each night?

They are, but we found it’s actually cheaper in the long run rather than raising chicks for 5 months that don’t give us any eggs.

That would work, it’s just too heavy to move my egg wagon then 😊
