Creating a Custom Privacy Screen with Hummingbird Garden Trellises & Restoring a Neglected Garden!!!

- Let the garden design renovation begin! Today we're installing a hummingbird privacy screen and restoring a neglected garden! This garden has been a source of problems for many years, but after the removal of dangerous tree I'm ready to tackle this garden restoration. I used multiple hummingbird trellises to create a custom privacy screen. Then I restored the garden by adding sedum cuttings, sublime hydrangeas, and thin man arborvitaes. I finished up the area by giving it much needed weeding and mulching.

I am so surprised that you used trellis’ as a fence/privacy screen. My neighbor had sticky fingers when I came to my plants. I finally got brave and asked her to stop. Sooooo I did kinda the same at the spilt rail fence between our yards to give me a bit of privacy while I wait for some boxwoods to grow and give me more privacy. It is beautiful ‼️

So beautiful. I don't think I'd seen all the large tree area that was giving you problems. I wish I could have seen a clip of just after they removed the trees from different angels. The trellises create beauty for your garend and for your neighbors to see also.

Did you put in a Tpost every few trellises? You can spray paint them black and they will prevent the whole row from coming down like dominoes. I think it was a beautiful idea!
I think this is an excellent suggestion. Those trellises would be limped over after one winter in my area.

This had to be an exciting shock to regular travelers in your area, who were used to the overgrown roadside. Then probably had to pull over to take another look! It does look like a gorgeous painting! The trellis panels can trigger lots of ideas... Thank you for stepping us thru this transformation!
What a difference, I bet the neighbors drive by a little slower to see how beautiful your yard is. Gardens everywhere to slow down for. The trellises are much lovelier than even a true waddle fence. Look forward to what you're cooking up for part 2.
Those trellises look amazing as a fence! A decent amount of privacy considering how open and airy they look. Curious to watch and see if you plan to grow things along them to give you a little more privacy.
