Lefort and Pauty fenced very well and did the job, but Le Péchoux did not. He should have been replaced by Mertine in my opinion. I really don’t understand the coach’s decision to replace Pauty
Lazy Panda Meinhardt is incredible, no discussion there. But Le Péchoux is clearly not at his best in this match. Just compute the number of hits given minus hits received for each French fencer. It’s clear that Le Péchoux, even though he’s the leader, should have been replaced, not Pauty. The coach’s decision is illogical
ToxicFruit I understand this is your opinion but it’s just not true. Over a final 13 points deficit for the French (45-32), Le Péchoux is responsible for 10 of them (5-1, 5-2, 5-2). As the leader of the French team, this is a huge failure on his part. Especially since he has proven many times in the past that he can do much better against the Americans

Les français ont quand même été assez mauvais perdants, je pense à Le Pechoux après la demande de vidéo, si t'es pas d'accord avec l'arbitre c'est à toi de t'adapter à sa facon d'arbitrer pas à lui de changer ses décisions
