My wife and I always loved riding to Julian and spending the night or weekend there. We lived in Hemet. We moved to Tennessee. Big Bear was also a favorite ride, as was the Angeles National Forest, Ortega Highway, PCH, and many others. I'm finding that northeastern Tennessee has even more exciting rides than we ever imagined!
    Ride well.

That is awesome it’s such a great ride and that you could do it that frequently is amazing, I bet there is some great rides out there to explore!

If you travel east of Julian on Ca. 78 you’ll go down Banner grade to Anza Borrego. And if you take S3 off of Ca. 78, you’ll get to Borrego Springs. Both these roads are incredible. The Nickel brewpub is off of Ca. 78 before Banner grade
BTW if you continue on the road north of the Julian Beer company you’ll run into Wynola Road another great road, you can head either direction, west takes you to Wynola ( and Ca. 78/ 79)while east you’ll end up on Ca.78 and the Banner grade.
Furthermore CA 79 which splits from Ca. 78 just east of downtown Julian is another gem, it will take you to Sunrise Highway which goes to Pine Valley and interstate 8 or if you stay on Ca. 79 Descanso and interstate 8.

Another great ride is through Warner Springs. You can hit the 79 from Temecula, down through Warner Springs south towards Julian.

I’ve never been through the Warner springs, I didn’t even know about it but I’m looking it up now, might take that route up the next time I go up to Julian 🤙🏼 thanks for the recommendation!

From someone here my whole life this is the way I’d play it next time. I’d do 15 to 76 east past pala with a destination of Josie’s hangout for lunch. From Josie’s I’d then either head to Julian if you want to end up there otherwise head to Ramona and down the hill past the wild animal park. Alternatively you can hit the 79 south off the 15 in Temecula to Josie’s if you want to mix it up.

Both those routes sound great! I’m definitely adding that to my list and then next time I go up plus I always love some good food spots for the trip, thanks for the recommendation 🤙🏼

Nice. I live in Riverside County and often ride to Julian for lunch and some pie. We usually take the 79 south to Pechanga Pkwy and head south to the 76 then east to the 79 and on to the 78. Always take the 79 to the 15 back home.

I did a trip the other day.
    Moreno Valley, to San Clemente via W 60, W 91, S 15, (twisties) HWY 74.
Then off to Oceanside on the S 5 to ride E 76 then headed 15 N then 215 N, completing the trip back to Moreno Valley.
BTT i almost reached Oceanside, traffic jam on S 5, I probably did the longest lane splitting for this year on Saturday. 177mi round trip.

I was enjoying your video right up to the point that you went to cell phone profile and kept it that way for way too long. I dropped out because of that. Just turn your phone and shoot in full screen if your going to make RUclips videos. I probably would have subscribe if not for that. Just thought I'd give you some feedback. Good luck with your channel.

That’s a good suggestion! The next time I go through there I’ll see if there’s a good way to add that on visually for people to see so they can use it for their trip 🤙🏼

So how are you liking your Saddleman for long rides?

    • @holdfastmoto
      @holdfastmoto  2 года назад

It’s been good, the seat supports you better for long trips like free ways due to the lumbar support and also because the seat is thinner in width I feel like I get more air flow between my legs which in turn keeps me a bit cooler, the seat does break in and get more comfortable the more miles you put on it in my opinion. So I would say there is a slight break in period with the seat I found.
