How did other reviewers not think to use trailers… genius
cos they're not real reviewers, just blah blah blah
They make reviews for the heck of it, this dude out here is using his practical knowledge
@@dragon5946 Don't be silly, they are but they need to cover so much of something that has a lot to offer. It's easier to sit down and just keep checking for hours

@@Diashen It's actually DRM (digital rights management).
the rest of AVP reviewers have a lot to learn from this channel
Somehow the first thought I had was “what does Alien vs Predator have to do with anything?”

what is AVP?
First reviewer who was able to show off the theater mode! Thank you so much!
He’s like the 10th reviewer to do it.
You've made some wonderful practical video demonstrating the functions of the Vision Pro. I appreciate the direct and quick style.
Ok bot.
He is not showing you the field of view which is significant so you have no idea how it looks inside.
Tbh i miss the 2 minutes of my life being wasted away while some internet stranger says: “Hey guys so today in this video im gonna be demonstrating how to use the apple vision pros theater mode features…”
The water reflexion is insane
Insane and absolutely totally pointless 😂
Sure pointless but it adds a lot to the immersion thats the whole point of VR@@dhendy27
reflection * and eh not really lol
Is it though?
@@dhendy27 It helps with the immersive experience.
This theater mode is sick! I will definitely use it!
U have that AvP?
Cinema mode is the only mode I use for movies. Best way to replicate a true cinematic experience.
I don't @@RS_kesh
It’s really good. I’m mad that Apple hasn’t just made it systemwide though, it only works in Apple TV app
@@lte6983 So true!
We damn near know the entire layout of your house by now with all these videos haha. Makes for a more personal feeling when coming back to your channel.
Privacy is an illusion anyways.
This is the main thing I’ve wanted to see tbh. Would be my number one reason for buying.
Keep in mind that it's fairly heavy and, imo, not really enjoyable or comfortable to have on for more than an hour.
only with the single loop band. the double loop (dorky i know) is sooooo much more comfy@@dygon7663
If you can get over the comfort issue, this definitely delivers in terms of an audio/visual experience.
@@himelstechhow do you think we can get over the comfort issue?
I've seen people wear this thing for 24 hours straight using just the single strap. No issues. So, I think most of this is getting the correct fit and probably getting used to it@@dygon7663
I wish we were able to level out the screen recordings, even when I hold my head still everything is tilted
You need to hold the crown to reset. My recordings are never tilted after I do that.
@@DrNoThanks Thanks. I'll give that a shot
Reason for this is because although the headset may be square on your face, most peoples eyes are not level. You may not realize all the subtle nuances that your body does in order for your everyday sight to appear level, such as a slight head tilt to level your eyes. When you’re wearing a headset you tend to sit perfectly straight, taking your eyes out of level. The headset will still process the image it is showing you in a manner that is level with its environment. So although you may be sitting as straight as a board, your eyes may not square up with the X and Y axis of your environment. It’s likely that this doesn’t happen when you use the headset in passthrough mode where you can see your environment.
That is fascinating, I never thought this could be the case@@fty-ys4ni
Ima try this next time @@DrNoThanks
You've done a great job of sharing a LOT more detail than all the other reviewers, and made it a much more justifiable purchase. Thank you!
Much appreciated!
Gaming examples would be great. Especially ways to push the experience. Frame rate, convenience, things like that.
Maybe not quite what you are looking for, but just posted this: ruclips.net/user/shortsDD5pKDBXO5M
@@himelstechdefinitely a great example
@@himelstech Wait a sec, how is this possible? I presume you’re using PlayStation screen share on the Vision Pro App Store?
@@himelstechPerfect. Thanks!
Don’t expect too much from the Vision Pro when it comes to gaming. The entire Vision Pro is probably half the size of a desktop gpu.
I haven't seen no channel's cover this, so I'm glad you showed it off. It looks epic!
Looks great thanks. Would like to know when lying down in the bed and your hand fully stratched, how is the conttrolling?
i love that little bloom going around the movie's corner based on the actual light that would come out of the screen haha so cool
Love to see your channel growing this week!!
Quick and easy to digest. This is the way.
Best Apple Vision Pro review channel yet
ty for posting this! I've been searching for videos that show how movies play on this.
Looks absolutely fantastic
Best AVP content/reviews/in depth videos by a mile
Apple should hire this guy, I’ve had no idea what is this headset is until I found his videos, now I really want it
Or get a Quest 3 with Skybox VR. It‘s 10x better than this. It actually gives highly realistic theatre spaces. I can‘t tell you how average this looks. Do yourself a favour and google sky box vr spaces
It's the framing content for its native ratio that's really the cherry on top. Other VR headsets lock everything in to 16:9 like it's a flatscreen and those letterbox bars just kill the immersion for scoped movies (especially against virtual backdrops). Wish it was more affordable, but in a few years when the price starts to fall a bit I'm very interested in it just as a personal home theater option.
I was working on same topic. But you definitely explained it better
well done. very thorough. thanks.
Great walk-through. Thanks for sharing. Would love to see if there's some fully immersive panoramic movie that'll be super awesome!
Yes they have a few of those but I cannot screen record while watching immersive content. I do have another video coming which shows off some other immersive content though.
@@himelstech How's the sound effect watching the movie? Can you connect it to external speakers?
thank you!
keep uploading more awesome content related to the vision pro as you find out
this guy is showing us why we maybe interested in buying this. Other main stream channels think their users want to edit videos on FCP in vision pro or spend 24 hours outdoor with vision pro
Can’t wait to buy this in 5-10 years when it has been perfected
I would like to hear a review about the 3D immersion on 3D movies like avatar 2. I know u couldn’t show us the effect or even the movie but maybe u could do a review about the 3D effect on Vision Pro while u let a trailer run or something. That would be very interesting 👍
I’ve had a Vision Pro since launch day, and 3D movies are easily a top 3 feature. They are crisp and the 3D effect is perfect. It’s like seeing a 3D iMax movie, but you don’t have those shitty glasses that give you a headache - with the Vision Pro, the 3D just works.
My stepmom, who had never seen a 3D movie before, got emotional when she watched the live-action 3D Aladdin movie on Disney Plus.
I no longer prefer to watch any video content that isn’t on a Vision Pro. The immersion, and the 3D, are that good
Agreed with Marshbam00 3D is truly amazing. I was trying to pull up a trailer to record but didn't see any trailers in 3D :(
Btw, you don't need to buy an overpriced 4000$ headset to watch crisp 3D movies !! Any VR headset will do (obviously some have better lenses or resolution then other's). I have the Quest 3 for example and it is perfection for 500$. Also, the 3D effect you are referring to has nothing to do with the headset (Well, yes VR does 3D effect without the red & bleu glasses because it has one screen per eye) each movie has their own levels of effects some are great and some are ok, it varies, but generally they all that good. Avatar is awesome in 3D !!!
The reflection on the water is sooo dope
I was doing this with my gear vr 8 years ago with more options. Theater mode had me in an actual movie theater. And I was able to change the screen size.
I like all the different environments but i think passthrough will always be my favorite way to watch movies. On my Quest 3 i pretty much make my screen slightly larger infront of my actual tv screen and now i can watch 3d movies while still in my real surroundings
Agreed
Dang this thing is so cool!!
Very cool to see how it all works IRL. How is the HDR?
You sir have my respects for making content to pay this thing off.
Great videos! Would be interested to see one where the virtual keyboard is placed flat on a table and you try touch typing with it. 😅
I was curious so I just tried this and you cannot put the keyboard flat on a table, it will always snap back up to be angled like 30 degrees. Seems like a silly design choice.
The headset is probably better at registrating X and Z axis, and not the Y axis, because of the camera position being above your hands
So cool, thanks for this video! 👏
Amazing! 😍😍😍👏👏👏
If you hold up both hands, pinch and pull apart you can make the screen about twice the size it would otherwise let you before. Basically, pinch to zoom for screens
thanks for sharing all these great videos! 2 questions: 1. how is the glare with high contrast content ike watching it theater mode? 2. if you use a bluetooth mouse with your Mac, will that extend outside the Mac screen to the AVP apps when sharing the screen or can you only use the builtin or magic trackpads to do that?
1. It can get annoying, to the point that I generally have been preferring watching with the floating screen in my own space.
2. I've only been using my external magic trackpad that I typically use for my extended monitor setup and that trackpad does extend outside the Mac screen to AVP apps.
reflection on the water is so cool
After covering the general areas, hope we can see the experience of using different apps - how similar or different they are from iPhone / Mac.
I always dreamed by having something like this, since The Ironman movies, this technology back than seems like something from the future, but i guess the future is here!!
Apple really did something revolutionary the same time when they announce the first Iphone, you know that's he world will change.
Can't wait to get one myself!!!
??? vr headsets for watching movies exist since years for a fraction of 3.5k, pimax for example
@@PySnek yeah but it looks bad and feels terrible on the face... can't wear it for more than 2 hours

@@youtubeur what looks bad? and buy a good strap
@@PySnek Of course!! But did you tried the vision pro before?? I recommend to take a demo if there's any apple store near to you, only than you gonna understand what does that feels like!
Subbed & Liked! Enjoyed the video! Good work & God bless in 2024!
I was blown away by the light reflections
Great video! I'd love to see a demo of each of the different environments. Mount Hood is so nice. Also - how loud is the audio to people who aren't wearing the headset? Like if you're watching a movie on a plane, would you need to use headphones?
You would definitely want to use headphones on a plane. If you're in a quite room with someone next to you they would hear it but it's not crazy loud.
I have been trying to shove my videos over the lake in Mount Hood and haven’t been able to. Literally never thought of clicking that button in the top to get it out there. I’ve just been grabbing the bottom bar and trying to move it out there and it stops before it goes over the water. Thank you for this video! I’ll have to try doing that again now, that’s something I’ve wanted to do since I got it. 😂
Thank you for actually showing us in depth how things work most reviewers are not answering these questions. I have one very strange question though. Do I need to scan both sides of both of my hands to setup and use the Vision Pro and personas? I don't have the ability to rotate one of my hands properly but I really do want to buy one of these devices in the future
It does ask you to rotate both hands, but maybe there's an accessibility feature? I'm not sure.
So the only way to increase the size of the screen is to pull it towards you? or can you adjust the size while keeping it against the wall if you wanted?
That's just incredible
Brilliant content 👏😮
My god this is an amazing piece of technology, congrats to apple this thing seemed liked such a gimmick at first but it’s consistently proving that it’s a genuine revolutionary product and for this being the 1st generation, 🤯🤯
Saw it on another review (with demo) that the maximum video/window size you can resize to depends on the size of the space you're in, so it wouldn't go beyond your actual room, but if you go to an open space or like a hotel lobby, it could go even bigger.
I’m gonna film that this weekend.
I watch a lot of movies/series wish i could experience that
Can’t wait for future update😮
That's actually amazing, I wish I get a chance to try the vision pro someday
If you’re in the US, go to your local Apple store. If not, I sincerely hope the Vision Pro comes to your country quickly. Having had one since launch, I can honestly say that it is mind blowing
Just buy yourself a Reverb G2 or maybe Pico. You don't need to be connected to that thing 24/7...
@@lukkklukk7045Terrible alternatives.
Man i wish i had the money for this it looks really cool
Hey, can you demonstrate how the lighting from the movie will show up in real passthrough mode ? Like reflecting off of the floor furniture etc ? Thanks !
I was trying this out and did not see any noticeable lighting effects in passthrough.
What if you took it outside in an open area like a grassy field and scaled it?
Another outstanding video! I've got a question for you, which could be a great topic for your next video or a simple comment reply. For me, the most intriguing aspect of the Apple Vision Pro is its potential for watching movies. However, the deciding factor is whether you can project the screen onto the ceiling while lying on your back, like on a couch or bed. It would be fantastic to enjoy a film in bed without having to awkwardly turn to the side for the screen. Hope that makes sense!
Can you apply content blocking through Screentime like you can on iPhone? Would be great if you could block all adult content
I kinda hoped that there would be an IMAX setting, or chance to watch giant screen in the sky.
I saw another video where if you watch an IMAX movie, the size of the video is 4:3 just like a true IMAX.
Can you send the audio to your home theater set? For Dolby atmos etc?
how bout if you get super closed to the virtual screen.. can you count the dots (leds) ? or is it watchablae/readable if you come very close to the screens?
If you lay down in bed and have your hands/arms lying on the bed, does the Vision Pro still register your finger pinches while typing or other hand gestures to move stuff around? Or do you need to raise your hands up in the air a bit
Do you use glasses with it? Ive never have used vr or seen it good bc i wear glasses and i was afraid it would break my glasses. But seeing this is amazing. Just dont want something big on my face like the vision pro. It looks amazing.
*Can you choose balcony even if you choose front or middle?*
good content!! so how big in inches are we talking about 80-100 inches? In the keynote the screen looked like IMAX
I’ve had one since launch day. The screen is relative to your environment - when you’re in a house, the screen can only really get as big as your walls. However, when you enter into an environment, the screen can quite literally be 100 feet tall and cause you to have to swivel your neck to see it all.
I want one
Question. Can I share my tabs and view with some other person who has also the vision. For example: I watch a movie on my vision and my wife will also watch the same movie with me together. Is that possible?
can you make the screen the size of an imax screen?
Man I love how the hands go dark when you're in a dark environment!
Damn, as someone who goes a lot to the movies this theater mode is making me reconsider some things 😅
Love your short videos demoing the AVP! For reference, what's the size of your physical TV on the wall? And watching anything in 3D, does it have to be in theater mode or can it just be a regular window floating in space?
55". I honestly hadn't checked that out yet and have to strap on the headset to check for you......⏳........3D movies can be in the window floating in your space.
Thanks! I had guessed it was between 50 and 60". Had a demo at the Apple Store today and stumbled onto your vids. Very helpful...except when it comes to resistance to purchasing one! Subscribed. Keep 'em coming!@@himelstech
One question, is it possible to somehow save the position of your open apps in your house and have the apps show up on the same place once your turn it off and turn it on again?
Maybe with some reference point?
party watch gonna be wild, cinema night with the hommies in vr
Can you make a video on how long you could really use it without fatigue? Would I be able replace my monitor for work with Vision Pro? I know battery doesn't last as long, but would I be comfortable doing my regular work in Vision Pro for as long as the battery lasts at least?
Like whole work day? I really doubt it, I was getting tired within an hour. If you lay down and somehow work then maybe?
I heard there’s some sort of Vision Pro specific video content that’s immersive. Whatever that means. Any chance you could show what some of that looks like?
Man this puts the Quest 3 to shame. Watching movies on that compared to this... there is no comparison. Extremely next level stuff. Thanks for the video!
Well no shit. It's $3,000 more expensive.
I would hope so.
You'd be saying the same thing about Meta if Apple launched a $500 headset and Meta released a $3,500 headset.
🤣🤣🤣
It's 7 times more expensive, would have been embarrassing if that wasn't the case. And just so you know, Comfort wise Q3 is still wayy better! (with the elite strap). And for 1/7th of price for vision pro, you can do way more on Q3.. Can be used as a PCVR Headset, does everything vision pro does, Watching Vr concerts on meta's app, and it's own vr gaming..
I was planning to buy an 75 inch OLED tv, but now i want this stuff. Its not launched at my place yet, will wait for it
If you watch most content alone and don't mind the weight on your head I think it's better than the TV. You'd definitely want to try one for 1-2 hours in one sitting to make sure it's comfortable enough for you though.
@@himelstech I want to watch alone, but prob is can't bcoz of takeover of my TV by my 4 year old daughter. I think this can save me from the cartoon onslaught..
A 500$ Quest 3 would do 99.9% the same, an IMAX size theater in your room and crisp. But it sound like you have a lot of cash to spare :)) But yeah a 75 inch TV seems like a fun idea until you experience a cinema feature in your living room and in 3D !! Cheers
Can you do a 360° video review
Can you show how facetime works with other vision pro users? wanted to see how the relative spatial positiong of the call participants work wrt each other
Hi! Do you know if we can watch the 3D movies inside the Cinema Mode?
Imagine theatre mode combined with personas to make an actual theater with friends!
You can already do that in quest 3
Can you Bluetooth audio to a home theater? Or any other way to broadcast audio?
When you watch a trailer, will it allow you to see the trailer when you’re streaming the AVP to another Apple device? When friends try the AVP on I hate that I can’t see what they’re seeing when they play a movie. Maybe the trailer workaround you did for screen record will work with the copyright averse Apple Share?
I have a question I know the Vision Pro offer 23 millions pixel but do the movie offer 4K? Is really clear?
Does wearing it strains your eyes on prolonged use? Ive tried multiple vr devices and it felt like i was staring directly to a screen and causing me headache
Wondering if the screen size limitation is due to you being inside. What if you take the Vision Pro OUTSIDE, can the screen size get bigger?
There is an upper limit, even in digital environments, but that limit is so big that your head would have to swivel to see the whole screen.
@@Marshbam004 kilometer movie screen oh boy!
ive read the display is kinda dim and definitely not hitting the advertised 5k nits because of how it works. is it dim in hdr movies?
Is there a way to make screen move with you when you move?
I’ve loved my Vision Pro, and I’m stoked for when AI becomes apart of VisionOS
Agreed.
If you change the window size in display settings you can make the screens much bigger.
Your videos have now made me real interested in this tech. Otherwise I had found it full of big words, fake reviews
Can you watch videos from a NAS or just from the apple tv app
Is there already a way to watch content outside of Apple TV+? Do Netflix or Prime Video and other apps of live streaming work in the browser? Do they trigger the Apple video player? I suppose VLC and uploading your own videos isn't among the supported apps yet
Max and Disney+ have AVP native apps. Prime Video and Paramount+ have enabled their iPad apps for the AVP.
I want to know that if we play an audio or an youtube video and come far from it does the sound decrease?
Yes the sound will decrease.
Does this completly replace your TV ?
I wonder if the apple vision is really sharp over the whole picture. If the picture has 4K properties everywhere, that alone would be amazing.
