How to curb-stomp emplacements: 1) Take 1 wehr mortar team/OKW infantry support gun 2) Move within firing range of an emplacement 3) Left-click attack position, left-click on emplacement 4) Go out and have a smoke Seriously, Brit emplacements easily fall victim to sustained indirect fire due to them being, well, immobile emplacements. While under sustained indirect fire, any Brit player worth his salt will predictably either send engineers to repair it (which will also die under the indirect fire) or brace the emplacement, rendering it unable to fire. In the latter case, you can then just rush the emplacement. Alternatively, you could always just rush them with shreck blobs (for QF 17 pounders) and armor (for everything else).

Soviet military doctrine historically did not put emphasize on static emplacement, but rather they adapt german blitzkrieg and suited to their own capability. So they are more into mobile warfare with elastic defence tactically rather than static defense. Defensively, they would use more scorched tactic and putting no man's land than directly defending territory bordering with enemy line.

Richardsen that`s possible. In theory. The problem is that the 17`s performance is highly overestimated. Especially in games it is. Damn, it was close to Kwk42 L70. The american penetration tests clearly show that it`s APBC shell performs simillarly to Kwk42`s Pzgr.39 (171 mm of RHa at 100 yards). The cannon did have sabot ammo, but it was rare and was poorly stabilized (you had to be the best cannonier in the world to hit a damn thing out of 300 yards).In games, however, the damn gun even outperforms the Kwk43. Sooooooooo realistic.... I don`t get it. Why the hell?!! IRL Brits had a monster 32 pounder cannon that really DID perform simillarly to Kwk43 in AT department. But that cannon is comletely forgotten.

But then again, due to how the gameply in CoH is built, towed and static anti tank guns need to be way more powerful than regular tank cannons. Remember the PaK 38 of the original CoH? It could go through the front of an M26 Pershing.

the AT gun is not so strong in RL only 130 mm pen at 500 m and 119 at 1000m , and the other ammo type had a pen of 204 mm at 500 m and 185 at 1000m !! yeah?! so this AT gun is fucked up op and stupid unreal!!! i love mods!! they will fix this shit

the africa korps can only bring in the pz 3 and possibly flak 36 relic introduced the other weapons they used already like mg 34

17 pounder was quite a bit worse than kwk42 of the panthe (about 10mm less penetration), apds was so terribly inaccurate that was useless in combat.
