This is a damn great track. From 3:30 and onwards it's so beautiful. Emotional, yet motivational at the same time. Man, I wish we could still have music like this in action movies nowadays...
“Father to son, father to son...” This part always got me, as a wide eyed child and more so now as an old fat father nerd thing. Right in the feels, his voice breaks exactly when my soul does.
I’m not even a pop but this and the speech Splinter gives the turtles about being there for Ralph hit so hard as an adult now. Or when they sit around the fire and speak to him in spirit. 😩

This is a musical masterpiece....Paul Hertzog is a genius. Aside from the story line and great fight scenes; what I like most about the film is the self discipline and consistent training since childhood. Self discipline and training can take you almost anywhere. I own "Bloodsport"; I must have watched it a dozen times since childhood.
From 2:30 to 2:56 I wish there was a loop because that melody gives me goosebumps completely. Of course the whole track is more than awesome, but the chills I get with that part are something difficult to describe.
Watched this when I was boy 1 trillion times in the 80’s. As a man I’m only just realising that this song is addictive due to the frequency of the song. Memories man, memories. When you’re young classics like this live in your imagination.
well, right after Shingo says that, the next scene says he's dead and shows a picture of him. Frank then asks Senzo to fight in the Kumite representing the Tanaka Clan. When he first sees Chong Li in the Kumite, Ray Jackson said he kicked someone in the throat and watched him die in the last one. Given the Kumite was every 5 years or whatever, that was enough time to train Frank if he's training all day every day. Maybe I inferred too much, Senzo never mentioned Chong Li or how Shingo died. Maybe he thought Shingo just didn't fight well enough and was killed. Maybe he died in a car crash, hit by a drunk driver or something. Who knows.
great tune, love the flashback bit in this film, and frank had the right teacher to kick ass. he gave me the believe to fight in the kumate. and to honor him and his good friend shingo. honor is a very strong and important thing.
Just an amazing soundtrack by Paul Hertzog. I'm really surprised how good the OST is for a movie which features a pretty standard action driven JCVD plot line.
This is one of the songs I have rotating when I do my horse stance training that gives me the extra push to get through the intensity of it. When those legs start to shake and burn after 35 mins have passed, you need all the help you can get and this does it's job. Lol

Love that part. But also sad because sadness follows it as they flash forward to his funeral scene. Idk I just love the “someday I’ll fight in the kumite and make my father proud.”
