    • @maximilianmaier3950
      @maximilianmaier3950 2 года назад +6

      @@ash__117 nah, it isn't even close to basketball, because it's much easier to make someone fall down in football. Basketball players use their feet just for running, so in order to make someone lose his balance, you really have to completely fool them with your moves.
      Footballers also have to try to play the ball with their feet and in order to do that, which often puts them in a muss less balanced position and it's also much easier to get your feet tangle up when you try to defend with them.
      Things like what Messi did to Boateng are still quite embarrassing, but it doesn't come close to what falling means in basketball

      @ash__117 2 года назад

      @@maximilianmaier3950 I agree that some falls in soccer like the Messi and Boateng can be more embarrasing but usually they're falling cause they're slipping around.
      I played basketball a lot growing up and you barely see people falling, and when they do we give them shit for it forever. I play soccer occasionaly and I constantly see people eating shit lol, I think it's just easier to start and stop and change directions in soccer cause it's so much more free flowing. In basketball you're kinda limited in what moves you can do.
      I think it's harder defending in soccer than basketball which makes it harder to make people fall in basketball. But again, it's close and it's definetly still hilarious and embarrasing when people fall in soccer.

It is usually a team effort…most pro teams play a zonal defense with men closest to the ball applying pressure while teammates cover gaps and try to make the field “smaller”. When in possession of the ball, the team is doing the opposite…spreading out and making the field “bigger”.

In this case where the defender is made Tricked is a mistake of him. When you lose sight of one of those tasks is you find yourself unprepared and there are days when you are in front of guys called Neymar, Ronaldo "O Fenomeno", Tricked is a mistake of him. 11:17 its strange, sometimes you just see it all before it happens. I have had that before where you are dribbling and you kind of see what you are going to do before it happens, and then it happens exactly as you see it. Its hard to describe, because it happens so fast , its not even a conscious thing at that point, its like a feeling mixed with a Flash of a few images. Happened to me a lot to be honest (generally when you get in that zone) and whenever that happens?....peeps aint stopping me, dribbling without having to look at the ball helps (everyone has to look at it, but when you can trust your touch, its better than eyes)

    It's not only practice. Dribbling in football is much more than that. Not everyone is able to break one's ankles in football. To the contrary to many other sports (including basketball, no offense), if you don't learn and practice it at a very young age (5-8 yo) you'll never be able to dribble naturally with the ball at your feet (that includes a sunday game in the park). Streets teach you also more about dribbling than clubs (tight spaces). There's a reason why the most gifted players (brazilian Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, etc.) started not at clubs but on the streets, or beaches.
    The eye-foot coordination and footwork are things that can only be learned and taught at a very young age. After that, no matter what you do, it's too late.
    You should react to Riyad Mahrez (Algeria), a smooth ankle breaker with an insane first touch, playing for Manchester City (England):

    So I'm a football guy right ⚽⚽ and actually want to highlight how difficult it is for a player to actually beat someone 1 on 1. As a lot of contact is actually permitted in the rulebook it isn't that difficult for a defender (in theory) to be very physical and not leave you an opening to pass. That is why the first thing any player learns is to look for an open player and pass long long before they actually practice any crossovers. Not having a lot basketball experience 🏀🏀 it always seemed to me that it's a lot harder for defenders in basketball to be that impenetrable blockader... but I have no idea if that's actually true

    There’s also a way larger pool of professional players to get clips of people falling for footy as opposed to basketball where you’re getting all nba and maybe a clip or two from euro league. So it is more common but that’s just cause there are more of us when you put it to scale it’s prolly similar, it is embarrassing in football for sure

    Id say falling in basketball and football is as embarrassing as each other especially when done by a skill. I can see where you're coming from though in that a slide tackle in football is legal and therefore being on the floor is more common. The importance comes in distinguishing why they're on the floor. So firstly if they haven't attempted to slide then it's embracing if you end up being put on the floor. If you don't go down but sort of get stuck, that's equally embarrassing I think.
    If you go for a big sliding challenge and the attacker skips past you it can also look embarrassing but I wouldn't say as much as the two above.
    Personally, if I see a player try to block a shot by going to ground/diving/sliding and getting sold thats a lot less embarrassing in my opinion as its more common.
    But as I said before because basketball is played with your hands there is less reason to be on the floor as you Don't need to go to ground to tackle, so if someone ends up on the floor it's likely because they've been made a fool
    Good channel guys

    I have been playing football about 5 years now and still hard to work with your feet with the balls it takes alot of time and practice and talent. For basketball I already know how to dribble decent in a week without even trying because it’s easier to control hand then your feet

    Falling after a piece of skill is pretty embarrassing in football trust me 😂. Falling and getting injured is probably the most insulting.

    the only thing which is highly embarrassing for a professional player is when he got tunneled..that goes into his brain/that is sticking in his mind/that has an mental impact...but gotten faked just with a body swerve is - business as usual so to say - for dribbeling..even when he then falls that´s part of the game therefore that has no mental impact for a professional player...the opponent fans might laugh or make fun about him in that very moment but that´s also business as usual but those players are so focused in the game they don´t even recognize those fans in that very moment when that happened..and the game is moving on so there is no time to think about it anyway ..but getting tunneled by a player is different because that is always taken personal between those 2 protagonists
