tony i already have a complaint. in your advent one winged angel video. WHY would you take the soundtrack from smash? or even have that as an option. theres literally ff7, ff7r, ff7 advent children where they were composed for. and you take the version that got remixed by some nintendo employee? as a musician you should know better, im heavily disappointed cause BY FAR that is not just an inferior version, its even less than that.
Yes it's one of the only songs I know of that I have given a 10/10 I can relate heavily to it and the music is top tier. Chef's kiss.

In the kpop side of youtube, there are some channels that analyze music in a more technical way, and I thought "how cool it would be to have that for japanese music". At first I relied on vocalists reacting because that was the closest I'd get to what I wanted, but not so long ago I found your channel and I'm so happy you're filling that void! I love hearing a more technical breakdown of music and I feel like that was missing for japanese songs in general. Love your content! Thanks for being open-minded about music that's not in your native language, that and your honesty are very much appreciated!

9:03 Not sure if you missed it or not but those were some cool vocal harmonies that changed from previous climax hooks. Super cool writing.
Yeah those little intricacies... when you really dive into it, it gets pretty fun. Just comparing the pre-chorus:
2:47 the last note they hit before the drop feels like going DOWN.
5:52 the last note feels like going UP. They also added this big BOOM sound 5:55. Check out that slap bass as well, doing different stuff than the previous pre-chorus. AND, they added a crazy electric guitar on the right.
9:03 similar to the first one + the guitar of the second one, but the keyboard is finishing its line with 5 notes instead of 2? (like in the other time stamps) -I think these are the harmonies you were talking about-

@@danielduarte6802 Oh I was talking about the vocal ones. In the other stamps he only does 2 notes with those backing vocals. In the stamp I pointed out he changes it to go down and up which is very cool variety.

Dang, whether I can't hear it or we're talking about the same thing. The keyboard/synth (or not sure what instrument that is), it's harmonising with Eve's vocals in a different way than earlier in the song. That's what I meant

The suspended 4rth resolving down by step? LOL yes I heard it. I actually have a inside joke on my Twitch streams where we count how many times that resolution is used per stream
my favorite from eve is still "As you like it" and I shall continue to recommend it. I love quite a bit of their music with the writing for each one being quite good. For "as you like it" is just completely based on an existing story which is really cool to put in music form
Found your channel from your Chainsaw ending videos and have been loving it since. I am not a musician (couldn't play anything to save my life), it is so interesting to watch someone with a musical background breakdown parts that i am just like "this sounds cool". It's fun hearing new parts of songs i love, just from a different perspective being able to pick them out and highlight them. Can't wait for more.

When I listen to songs for the first time on my own I like to rewind and listen again to parts that catch my interest, so your format really suits how I enjoy music. I enjoy your enthusiasm for hearing these songs. I don’t know much musical terminology so it’s really nice to hear someone who teaches the words to describe what I enjoy about music.

There's a few other older Eve songs that show the older classical Eve like Dramaturgy does. The most outstanding are Last Dance, Outsider, and As You Like It (Oki ni mesu mama).

Eve is great! “Last Dance” is another song that is related to this one, and one of my personal favorites. If you want to try songs that are a different feel compared to his usual, I would recommend “Leo” or “Living idly and dying as if dreaming”.

These are 3 of my favorite songs! I made sure to pick songs you haven't already covered. I feel like you'd probably have the best time dissecting Tokyo Ghetto to start. It's most similar to How to Eat Life. Lots of shifts and complex rhythm and vocal patterns. Last Dance is probably the most requested I've seen, and has bounced around as being my favorite Eve song of all, and is most similar to Dramaturgy out of the ones you've heard so far. That's a great choice. As You Like It would also be a fun breakdown for you. It's a very upbeat, fun, dance along song, but still has cool stuff for you to break down. Hopefully, you'll cover all of these someday!

"Oratorio The World God Only Knows-God Only Knows (full version)" is a journey for sure. Different melodies, beat switch ups/styles, and vocal rhythm, it's literally 8 minutes of 'woah'. Highly recommend to react to and for others to give it a listen.
