Matt West did a good job on this song. It gave tears to my eyes the video. I was happy that the neighbors helped give him his last Christmas . I loved that there was a lot of love in this video. My family give to Saint Jude's Hospital for Children with cancer. We also give to Shriners Children's Hospita 🎄❤😢🥳🎁🌟🎄
I remember listening to this song almost every morning going to school with my mom, sometimes even getting Burger King on the way. Much simpler, nicer times those were.
My 2 1/2 year old son was diagnosed December the 18th,1996 with nasopharyngeal carcinoma . He is now 19 years old. But this song and story hit home more that people realize.

Our community has two very sick children. As we all reach out to their famiies, loving them and holding them up, this song reminds me, that this world has not forgotten the meaning of Christmas. This song serves to remind those who fortunate enough to be very blessed. We must always remember to cherish our families, friends, and neighbors, especially during these blessed times. This is from the movie The Heart of Christmas. It’s a true story of St. Jude patient Dax Locke and his journey at St Jude. He had AML, which is a form of Leukemia.
The blond mother in this is Jeanne Neilson, the leading lady in the movie Faith Like Potaotes. I feel it's so appropriate that she is in this video because that movie, like this song, is about not missing the blessings in life that faith can bring.
This person is speaking God's truth, but you call them a complete jerk...? Truly, the scriptures are fulfilled.

The end of the movie is when i really teared up. I couldnt imagine having a child that is sick. But yet Dax kept a smile on his face and knew he was loved.
I posted the song one last christmas to facebook last year after going to my daughters christmas concert. Before the concert, her principal cane up and spoke to the crowd of parents that were there watching and quickly announced that the kids were not going to school for the next 2 weeks after the concert. The parents actually whined and complained and cursed that their kids are going to be home. I even heard a mom verbally abusing her daughter at 1 point. I honestly almost cried and yelled. My then 5 year old girl was born 3 months premature . We werent even sure if she would make it to her first christmas. But she is now 6 years old and doing well. I can understand that parenting is not easy, but these children were up on stage watching their parents as they complained like babies right in front of them. I was just glad that my daughter was alive to be in that show.
We are luckier here then in OZ Elizabeth Witz. Our summer holidays is 7 weeks over Christmas. A fabulous time to spend and share special moments with my kids. God Bless.

I get so sick and tired of so many spiritually proud people, who are wise in their own eyes (I say "people" as opposed to Christians, because I question whether some of them are even truly Christians) looking down their noses at Christians, such as myself, who celebrate Christmas on the traditional day, and ranting about it.

Christmas, which in most languages doesn't contain the word "christ" at all is based of a holiday completely unconnected to Jesus, who according to what records we have was born in June... The story is very touching, but is completely irrelevant to gods, it's rather about how people gathered around to support a child with cancer, it's about cherishing and loving the people around you.

I lost my son one year ago this month on the 20th and we do miss the true meaning of Christmas .We need to open our eyes and realize we have to cherish what we have and live while we can and let the ones we love know it.You see my son was 19 when he had a serious car wreck and on Oct 16th of 2010 and he laid in NTICU for 66 days and then on the 17th of December he had surgery .Well his surgery didnt go well and he was brain dead.On the 20th I had to pull the plug.So cherish every moment

This song came out a year after I lost my dad and a year before I had my last Christmas with my mom. She passed right after Christmas. Hard to believe that it's 10yrs now already. The heart of Christmas is not all the commercialized over spending or decorating to the extreme it's about being around the one's you love and spending time together thankful for each other and the blessings you have. My last Christmas with my mom was the best even though we both had the flu we both laid in a recliner and listened to Christmas music together (this was one of those songs), watched Christmas movies and I read to her from the bible in between naps. My favorite Christmas movie. I cried my eyes out through every moment of this movie. Knowing that it is based on a true story about Dax Locke and his family. made me cry even more. Matthew West wrote and performed a few songs for this movie, this one is my favorite. My heart goes out to anyone who has ever lost a child. I saw this video and I felt like I needed to say this to many of you because I am horrible at keeping in touch with the ones that mean the most to me. Being away just two years I realize the importance of the close bonds that families and friends share and how being apart from those can be tough. I hope you all have a very blessed holiday season!
This song is so true. My dad left us when I was 16 back in 2016 and now my mom met someone and left me when I am a seinor in school just a month ago. I'm thankful I had a sister to take me in but this is all so hard. I always feel like if I wasn't good enough for my parents, why am I good enough for anyone? It hurts me knowing I am losing time with my parents. I'm going to college in 11 months and I am worried thinking I won't be good enough to make it in college if I not good enough for my own parents. I am thankful for wonderful teachers and a guidance counselor to help me.

I do not know why, but I bought this song on ITunes. I start playing my Christmas music this year. I love Matthew West music and the story behind them. Anyway, I found this song on my playlist. I was kind of out of it last year. I don't have kids, but I have worked with kids for 30 years. I loved everyone of them and call them my own. I lost one, Libby Claire (lost the battle against cancer at age of 6). I never seen the movie nor this video. I was going to dedicate the song on my FB page in her memory, but the video is perfect. I going go search for the movie today. Before I leave, let's all say a prayer for all the children of the world (so much corruption) especially the ones battling cancer. P.S. I still do not know how this song got on my playlist.

When I was in fourth grade I learned this entire song in sign language and we had to play it during a winter concert, my fourth grade teacher told our entire classroom that she wouldn’t watch that song because it reminded her of her son that killed him self because of the bullies and looking back at this song I Hope she is OK because I moved a while ago and I haven’t seen her in over five years
