Isabelle, not sure if you read these comments, and I rarely leave one. I've been a DJ in the business for years, worked with many artists, writers and producers.. but you're not getting the attention you deserve. I have heard a few vocalists try to cover Hayla but nothing like this. Have you considered covering something more pop genre? Someone like Dua Lipa? She's difficult for most artists, but your range and tamber are a perfect fit. Hallucinate is a bit technical but I think you could pull it off easily. Or maybe Be the One? I'm sure you're super busy, but hoping you will have the time for a few more uploads..Best!

I don't like this. Some of the "expression" is just self-indulgent showboating. Switching "mm-mm" to "uh-uh" may seem like a minor tweak, but it's less attractive and loses the meditative soulfulness of the "mm-mm" original. The backing track is too spare, too, exposing the pedal point on scale degree 5 so much that it gets irritating. And it's missing key backing vocals on the refrain, exposing the more weakly performed runs on the word "with" in this rendition. This singer is clearly talented, but people raving about it should go listen to the original, which is a masterpiece.
