For those people who know that the device is disconnected from the previous owner: Delete yours from find my or the blue tooth menu Hold the back button until it turns orange Connect them, then head to settings and click on the AirPods configurations menu Re-name the AirPods to something different This worked for me
i bought AirPods pro 2 from the marketplace and reset them as you told, but I can’t use Find my feature with these AirPods, it shows two errors, AirPods setup incomplete & AirPods mismatch, i think its still connected to previous owner
@@z-a-p I've had airpods pro 1s gen since release and 2 years ago i lost em so i bought referbished ones from the marketplace and they sound the same if not better and everything works fine but i had the same problem does this still mean they're fake?
Once you factory reset they won’t be able to (per Apple - you can find it on their website) Make sure you disconnect the AirPods from your Bluetooth and if they show up on your ‘find my’ app - disconnect them as well. Then perform the factory reset like this video. You won’t have any issue
Hey, I bought some airpods pro2 last year and sadly I dropped the right sided airpod and it shattered. Fast forward a few months I bought the same type of airpods and accidentally lost the left sided one about 2 weeks ago. Is there anyway to combine the right airpod I currently have to the left airpod from my previous case??
You also sometimes have to do this 4 times. I did it with AirPod pros and a set of 3rd gens and I had the same problem as you. After reading up a lot of things on line I found out that you need to hard reset them about 4 or 5 times in a row to completely wipe them (don’t ask me why but it worked) also make sure u press forget these on your Bluetooth settings
Make sure your phone is up to date Then: Forget the device (from Bluetooth) Find my app> remove from account Reset phone Turn on airplane mode Factory reset the AirPods like the above Turn on airplane mode Now connect. It should work. You want to make sure it’s never connected to your phone before you factory reset. (Hence why you remove from Bluetooth and your find my app) Turning on airplane mode will prevent them from auto connecting when you reset the pods since the case has to be open. I hope that helped - it worked for me :)

mine says the same thing and i bought them from target airpod pros 1st gen
Does this delete the icloud lock or apple previous owner?
Also curious, as I bought some from marketplace and now I'm worried after seeing this the person i bought them from can see my location?

What if you already connected before you reset them ?
Go to Bluetooth settings and hit the blue icon next to AirPods and click forget device
Lost my ipods and tried finding them with your other video. Can I disconnect them from current user (who I think found them)

Yeah it’s possible just put them both in the same case
It didn’t work I followed step by step. It turned amber but the previous owner still showing. I found left one only and case
It needs both airpods inside the case to reset

why cant i track it?
Nice one and will that still work if the other person had it connected too I cloud thanks 😎
As far as I know once they are factory reset they will work.

Happy to help you with your borrowed AirPods
It didn' work. I can't unlink them. It still shows the previous owner
Mines too. I found a left only AirPod pro with case but it didn’t disconnect

Hi, im not seeing my name when airpods 2pro are connected. They are just named 'Airpods pro' - without my ID name. Is it a standard thing? thx!
Could you please cooperate? I have a lot of airpods.
