thank u homie and yeahh i think so too… i pretty much never take my car out but i did a couple days ago before this video and when at home my car is fenced off :(
personally this is why I don't use lug nuts that have bearings like that it seems like a good idea to protect your wheels but honestly you run the risk of them coming loose. For the moment i would replace the studs get cheap honda 5 lug wheels and some replacement lug nuts from autozone put thr rear advans in the front to make it back to bay area safely
Maybe its a side effect of having those bearings on the nuts? I've only ever used traditional steel nuts, so I have no experience with those Project Kics. For the wheel, you would need to drill out the holes. Insert sleeves and machine new seats for the lug nuts.
Way way wayyyyy back in the day, my boy was riding around on 3 lugs in his Integra on 280 or 101 and his wheel legit fell off. He ended up totaling the car. Glad you're safe.
invest in some hub rings to get rid of the vibrations, and you need ball-seat lugs. also torque to 80ft-lbs for 12x1.25-12x1.50 honda lugs I imagine this happened because the lugs were not torqued correctly along with not having hub rings. Also worth noting that those 2 piece lug nuts often cause more headaches than anything, just get a tuner set and you'll be much better off imo
couldn't tell which project kicks lug nuts they were, but if they're the r40 they suck for spirited/performance use. those are more meant for daily driven use. Regarding the wheel you might salvage it, basically fill it up with a tig machine and re-drill it.
this is why you keep the stock rims it came with some when something like this happens you dont have to put money down until you got money to put it down on the car when i had my new rims i never sold my stock rims i just keep them for emergencies but over all i think someone might have tried and steal your rims but was successful and left the scene unnoticed or else it just snapped off because of over torque and stress on it give it a few days until you get the money you'll get repaired
Also, if the wheel was reinstalled and maybe the rotor wasn’t sitting flush against the hub surface, which happens when you use aftermarket rotors without the set screw. If you torqued it down it would have held for awhile and loosened up… just something to think about.
Idk if you guys are running hub centric rings, but not having it and having loose lugs could of opened up the stud holes on the wheel. Its better for you wheels to center itself on the hub rings then putting all the weight on the studs and lugs
Fix the studs, throw it on stocks, and run auto zone open ended lug nuts for now. I have a suspicion those bearing lug nuts gave out from being torqued down.
Bearing type lug nuts suck cause essentially they’re multi piece. Also looks like you didnt have hub centric rings which cause more stress on the studs and lug nuts because then the wheels has that tiny bit of vibration to cause havoc
Repair studs, move back tire to front, market place a full size Honda wheel, buy cheap lugs to install that wheel, on the trip home retorque wheels at least once
Seems like the bearings on the lugs degraded/compressed over time. Your torque wrench calibration could be off as well and possibly over torqued them to where it mushroomed the bearing
Not car related ! But Jacob where do you get the spider hoodies at ? I want the pink and maroon one but only places I found were goat and stock x ! Do you get them from a reseller or something ?
I actually ran into the same problem but unfortunately i kept ignoring it and behold the lugnuts were gone and so was my wheel on my integra i thought it was just tierod end... i learned from it tho
Man i got the same lug nuts and now im a little concerned, may after an X amount of torque and the abuse it takes when harsh driving caused it? i mean the front brakes prolly got too hot for the bearing on the lugs-- weakening the structure? im prolly wrong tho
i honestly think someone tried stealing my wheels and loosened some of the lugs and when i drove on it, it loosened all 5 🤧 i don’t think it was a manufacturer defect ;(
time to get new wheels! im not even sure you could save those. Even if you could save them, is it really worth the safety of yourself? Probably not. Either way this is an excuse to get your new dream wheels or whatever wheels you want to run next lol
I’ve torqued my current lugs because I’m anal about my car. But the 15 years I drove previously, I never torqued em, my parents never torqued their lugs either. Hit em with the cross lug wrench and tighten the shit out of em.
Better get some cheap lug nuts that will work on those wheels and torque them down. Then drive home where you can work on it and do the things you need over time.
You didn't use hub centric rings so your wheels were not sitting on the lip of the hub, rather riding on all 5 studs. Lack of experience is why this happened unfortunately. Learn the hard way not using hub rings. Change the title of the video to always use hub centric rings to fit the wheel to the hub of your vehicle. Good luck.
@@Flytrainer don’t jump to conclusions but we do mention hub centric rings in our other videos and how important they are. just bc you don’t see them in this video bc of how the video was edited doesn’t mean they weren’t on the car 🤷♂️
seems like lug nuts or studs failed id get cheap rims or borrow some from friend get new normal lug nuts repair studs get it back home save up for new wheels could've been a lot worse
this happened to my homie a few months ago kinda the same thing i think it was because we over torqued the extended studs and now the homie is mobbing it on three lugs cause fuck it we ball
Damn dude. Lug nut being broken and others loose I think someone tried stealing your wheels. Stay safe man. Happy you’re safe
thank u homie and yeahh i think so too… i pretty much never take my car out but i did a couple days ago before this video and when at home my car is fenced off :(
Try to get spares on all wheels with cheap lugs. Once your home you can do a rebuild. I had that happen to my z32 once

Just started having issues with my Integra too lol. Hoping the best for the Fd2 and the touge content is the best on RUclips

After every track day, or before always to do a quick maintenance check. Torquing lug nuts checking for leaks, adding fluids rotating tires
Honda Owners always get my sub
Can’t wait too see where you grow from here, s2000 maybe?
were the wheels re torqued after 100 miles or so?
Babe wake up seikers uploaded 🙇🏽♂️
Noooooo not the tc4s the FD2 looks so good on those wheels good luck with the car man!!

maybe wrong lugnut was used there is ball seat and Conical tapered you might had the wrong one
Call the lug nut company and have them help you out

That happened to me before, the threads became so worn and rusty that it doesn't grip the lugs anymore
Just found the channel, good shit shit bro. Keep it up💯

Is the wheel bore same size as the hub bore? Look up hub centric rings. It’s very important when put on aftermarket wheels.
100th like 😎sucks to see this happen. I'd still like to say keep it up and keep the content coming 🔥
Idk if you guys are running hub centric rings, but not having it and having loose lugs could of opened up the stud holes on the wheel. Its better for you wheels to center itself on the hub rings then putting all the weight on the studs and lugs
tc4 looks great but maybe swap or try some new wheels like tc105x

Damn man glad to hear you’re okay 👌. I’ll be going to that meet tho!

The meet is on my bday but I'm in the Bay hope to see yall at a meet when you're back!
head up bros. year jus started , 2023 year of success o7
I watched that clip of cali a week before like 5 times... 😂😂
sux, know the feeling. just put the car on ice for and completely change the rims later to something else.
I never understood the hype behind expensive lug nuts, especially project kics. They’re just nuts
Had this same issues happened on my bothers 8th gen and ended up being the studs backing out. Had the same ARP. Wheels whole got ruined on some TEs😢
I’d just get different lugs and switch that wheel to the rear until you get back
Seems like the bearings on the lugs degraded/compressed over time. Your torque wrench calibration could be off as well and possibly over torqued them to where it mushroomed the bearing

It might've been those open ended lugs. One getting loose causing vibration to lead to the other failing and sheering some of the other lug nuts?
I actually ran into the same problem but unfortunately i kept ignoring it and behold the lugnuts were gone and so was my wheel on my integra i thought it was just tierod end... i learned from it tho
That integra starter going out 😂
Waiting for your reply. But yeah make sure always have your tires lug nuts are tight.
It just happened to my 8th gen too
Someone definitely tried to steal your wheels.

Y’all pulling up to tuner evo, it’s in oc too
just get normal lug nuts man lol i just run the black oem honda ones off the 18+ accords
10:15 bruh stop playing 😂
had the same thing happen to me in my miata except i hit another car head on 😭
Anymore integra dc2 videos?
yep!
If they are aluminum lug nuts that’s your problem I had the same thing happen to my car
Is there warrantee on anything?
Are your wheels hub centric? Doesn’t look like it
they are not but we run hub centric rings
I think the FD2 just needs some gas and an oil change and your chillin
see if it's cheaper to tow the car to the bay rather than fixing it since parts will take awhile to come in
You can just fix what you need to make the touge and trip? Idk why you need $200 lugs
NSX vs integra touge 👀
maybe a eclipse 2g
Sry my man. Here's a comment for the algo
Sheesh. That sucks.

use a torque wrench, wouldnt be that hard to break something

Appreciate the feedback but we do indeed run hub centric rings on all the wheels.

tow the car back to the bay area.
Yo
Project kicks suck ass they will strip and loosen ur lugs over time and constant on and off of the lugs.
hi
You got cash app I send you the money to fix the car
man:/
dont just torque, re-torque after 20 miles.
You can order one wheel for like almost 300$ lol a 1000$ is nothing, come on !!
Bro stop crying, that’s not that much to replace 🤣🤣🤣🤣 broke boys !!
