- My pet baby snapping turtle, Blurg, ate from my hand for the first time! Also in this adventure we get a whole bunch of tropical fish to put into the tank.

I had a pet eastern box turtle for 10+ years & whenever I would hand feed him he would carefully watch out for my fingers & a few times even knocked the worm out my hand to avoid biting me. Such intelligent creatures!

Put some duckweed for his tank, it will help with the algae and it can be a small snack for him when he gets hungry. The plant will also increase its amount by 16 times in optimal conditions
As he's pouring water in the room his mom's like "I think we have a leak."
you gotta acclimate the fish before you add the fish. Also you should test your PH levels when you do water changes. Those fish wont really clean the tank, they will produce more ammonia than actually helping. Get a canaster filter for your tank to clean it especially with a turtle. He also needs a heat lamp placed at the top of the tank or his shell will be weak and could crack.

Those fish like the cat fish and plecos all grow at least 14 inches long and fat. One pleco or the catfish require at least a 55 plus tank. He put way to many into that one tank alone. On top of that, plecos are fresh water. The cat fish ones aren't. They need brackish water when teens and then slowly intro transfered into salt water. Most fish places don't really know their fish because they don't train the staff for it

I feel you should know figure 8 puffers aren't actually fresh water puffers, they are brackish water puffers. For those that don't know brackish water is the middle ground from fresh and salt. Fresh water has a salinity of 1.000, brackish has between 1.005-1.015, and salt is 1.020 + obviously over salting is bad so 1.020 is a safe saltwater level. Regardless, figure 8 puffers can live short term in freshwater, but ultimately need to be moved to brackish water to sustain a healthy life. snail can float both intentionally and unintentionally for various reasons. Some common explanations include trapped air bubbles, poor water condition, hunger, high filtration speeds, or just a defense mechanism against aggressive fish

I hope my snapper is still alive. I had him captive for a year and he was growing so fast, I put him back near where I found him except in a river in the woods with the rest of his food. I ways wonder about his adjustment to the natural world.

I would like to get one of those since I may try to get some wasps as pets. I’ve been getting closer and “taming” a wasp nest I found outside.

I really really really like your videos
I would recommend to put in some plants to. Just easy plants that help the tank. A tank is also having patients during a set-up. You might experience some algae. But dont worry, keep it simple, dont use any products except water conditioner and algae product (when algae really get out off hand). And for the rest enjoy youre new buddies 😊 i barely do anything than a water change every 2 months and i dont have a slightest spot off algae in my tank. Took me 4 months before I got that also after experiencing some algae troubles.

and the baby snapping is spose to have enywhere from 9 inches of water to 5 because there mostly found in creeks and there very bad swimmers

You need a heat lamp for turrle to dry because when turtle is in watee forever the home is start to decayed and crack
