It does work but right now i cant get maschine to start on beat 1 relative to traktor. It always starts on beat 2. Also, traktor keeps making micro adjust ments to the speed of the track causing any track in traktor to warble.
Bougie the bpm is locked to the master. If you change the bpm on the master, anything linked to it will change. I have my traktor as the master and can change the bpm which will then change the bpm in maschine and also my friends traktor and maschine which is linked to mine. Works flawlessly for me
Bougie you don’t. You set the master bpm to control all the tracks and change it from there if you need to. Just midi map the bpm in master to a controller or enter the value manually to change it. I’ll boot up my set up later and come back to you to confirm

You also need to go into the Traktor Preferences->Midi Clock and enable the "Send Midi Clock" option. Was setting this up here and don't think that was mentioned in the video,,,thanks for the tutorial
For those where the Sync and play section for is grey (in the traktor software) you need to tick "Send midi clock" in the midi configuration in traktor
Good information, but what I would like to know, do you need to have a 4 channel sound card to have Maschine route through one of the mixer channels or can you layer the sound over the track if you only have a 2 channel sound card like Traktor Scratch A6. Also would the initial setup apply to Maschine Mikro.

I've tried this out before; between Traktor, the Remix Decks and Maschine you can make some pretty cool music on the fly, fun as hell too. I've stuck mainly with Remix Decks for now as I don't trust my computer to handle both Traktor and Maschine without something crashing. But yeah...Add in Guitar Rig 5 as a plugin with Maschine and you got a whole lot of awesome sauce.
You can physically MIDI link Maschine input to another output that Traktor uses. You can also use both of the Maschine MIDI sockets if you map everything correctly :)

The new Maschine Update (2.4.6.4) does not have the options in the menu bar anymore. How do you get Maschines Audio to feed into the S8 now? It worked perfectly now and now I can't figure out how to get it routed correctly.
Any way I can route Maschine to be able to cue it just like I would with a deck in Traktor? That’d be amazing to be able to listen to what I’m about to throw in the mix before I actually do :P
Loopback is a good investment if you’re serious about routing audio internally. I would not go without it. Blackhole is a free alternative, not as simple to use, but can work for your needs.

Because if the only way to get it to work is essentially routing the audio to the master than you better be sure about what pads your hitting otherwise it could sound like s**t

I would love to know how you are able to route the Maschine to a specific channel (or Aux Send/ Return) in the case of a Xone 92. Richie Hawtin and Dubfire were both using Maschine (now Ableton Push) and have it routed to one of the Aux Send/ Returns - thus not taking a channel away from the 4 decks in Traktor. Do you need a specific soundcard (Fireface UFX), or is the NI Audio 8/10 fine? Ideally, I would like to put the Maschine (or Ableton Push) on to one of the 2 free remaining channels on the Xone 92. Looking forward to yours or someones response who can be of assistance. Thanks in advance.
Did you ever figure this out? I had my routed properly at one time. I had my audio from Maschine routed to my Traktor software and could Record everything I was doing in Maschine, as well as the mixing I would do on the S8. I didn't have to have it occupy any of my decks either - It went in through the Aux Send/Returns or something. But my main problem is now I've messed with the setting and don't remember how I set it up that way. I know I created a Virtual/Internal type of opening between the two and it worked. I changed something and now I just can't get any of the audio I make in Maschine into the Mix Recorder in Traktor. So all my mixes only have what is being played on the S8 recorded. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :) I'll try to help you as well if i can.
@@johnnykabris9184 Traktor and Maschine both have a "Link" button. Hit that in both applications in the top area and then hit "Sync" Then you should be good. This is for the newest versions fyi just in case you have an older version.

i'd really like a tutorial on getttng my roland SPD-sx to sync with traktor. I've sorta got it working in some iterations, and traktor speeds it up and slows it down, but the loops never play in time that i have signed to the pads on the roland :(, i like having the roland as i can use sticks and can play better drums and fills with sticks than i can finger drumming...
It looks like it should work fine in Windows, but I'm going to try it with MASCHINE Mk1 hardware, using v2.0 MASCHINE software. I'll be also using Traktor 2.6.x (whatever the update just was) along with my Z1 and X1 Mk2. I feel like the metronome timing and b buffer sizes will be a touch more noticeable at first, but fixable. :-) I'll also be doing this on Windows 8.1.

theres some issues with it, i find it locks the bpm. good if your creating a song, bad if your doing live performance where the bpm is always changing

How do you mix 4 decks and Mashine in an external mixer with 1 laptop?
Been having this problem for a while now, on PC there is no virtual output option to select..
